Controversies between fans based on misunderstandings

The supernova was the work of the Bajorian Prophets, because of the Romulans trying to grab that moon.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

:)

What is prime universe? How do we know Spock Prime is the same Spock as in TOS or later in TNG? He can be from some other alternate universe as well. The worst situation is with Romulus though, as its sun is about to become a supernova anyway in all the universes. If we forget the fact that Romulans should've been able to recognise the star is perishing in the time they still were Vulcans and discovered planet Romulus- so they could let it be or leave it soon. They've had centuries of time and technology. Are planets around novas even inhabitable...?

Novas only last for a short time during which they are highly unstable. So no.

I see I've used a wrong word. I had in my mind the phase when a star is perishing before it becomes supernova.

Like Mitchell's love life.

MITCHELL: (without looking) Hello, Jim. Hey, you look worried.
KIRK: I've been worried about you ever since that night on Deneb IV.
MITCHELL: Yeah, she was nova, that one.

Good find!

Typically you get a giant red. The star doesn't have enough mass to keep all it's matter together, so it starts to inflate. In the case of the sun. It'll be bigger than Earth's orbit, which means that the Earth will be volatilized. Fortunately it'll happen in a few billion years, so no worries.

But if you're thinking about leaving a monument forever, you can forget it.
