Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek; they've come through a wormhole from another part of the galaxy looking for Earth, only to bring the Cylons with them. Synths, indeed.
It would also be fun to combine ST and Mass Effect - those ME Relays would be a nifty way to get the Federation further into the galaxy and beyond. I mean, its kind of weird the UFP is the only multi-species empire around... their should be other republics/alliances of multiple races that the Earthers run into (not counting the Dominion, of course, since those are 'servitor races'). We have way too many single-species large empires around the UFP, and that doesn't make a lot of sense, really. Plus, we saw what looked VERY much like a Reaper-incursion at the end of season 2 of Pikard (the intergalactic machine consciousness).
I was going to also mention Lost in Space, but we already have that - we call it Voyager.
For Poops & Giggles, SW and Dune would combine quite easily. Heck, you can even layer-in Farscape (the Peacekeepers had an "Empire' vibe) and Jupiter Ascending (cheesy, YES, but it had great aesthetics). Nearly anything with a 'galactic empire' could work in such a vast setting, except maybe ST (unless you set ST in the past, as the Old Republic, but then it isn't ST anymore).

There are references to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in both franchises, thus, at the very least, the two are connected through a multiverse, if not directly (I favor directly - who do you think is running that 'Time Authority' in the future, hmmm? And how different is an agency like Torchwood from one like the Travellers and Gary 7, or the Timelords themselves? Cybermen and Borg? It is fairly easy to reconcile everything.I know that there has been a comic and a few in universe parodies, but Doctor Who and Star Trek.
