Haven't seen Con Air yet, but I recently caught this for the first time, and it's an absolute classic:

It's been a long time since I've seen it but I recall the first half being really good, but then it got a bit silly. Don't they have some kind of armoured truck or car, or am I thinking of another film?

The entire movie is gloriously stupid/silly, but yes, things do take a bit of an unexpected turn with the Q expy and the armored van. Myself, I loved this mild gear shift.

If you don't have a problem with French movies, check out Ruby & Quentin, Wasabi or Cash, some of Jean Reno's movies. Reno's native language movies are usually much better than his international ones, same as with Jackie Chan.
