The TV show "Person of Interest" features a lot of hacking in every episode. Some of it more realistic (hacking wifi and web-cams), some of it less so (hacking cellphones via bluetooth). But it is one of my favorite new shows this year.

Saw that for the first time the other week while on vacation. I enjoyed it, but it hasn't been picked up here yet by the look of things

does anyone know of movies or TV shows where we see people accessing computers remotely? i can't seem to think of any. i'd love to see something with a green text and black background.

In War Games I'm pretty sure his comoputer had green text on a black backround.

I can see some in my head, but I can't recall what movies they were from. Scour 80s movies if you're looking for green text on black backgrounds.

I'm not sure it counts as hacking, but I enjoyed the computer duel in Clear and Present Danger. That was more of a race to get a file printed before it could be deleted, though.

^And sadly, the worst part of that scene is Jethro thinking he stopped the hack by pulling the plug on the PC they were using. Of course he had the excuse of being computer illiterate.

There was a sequel.

Missed that one.

Matt Lanter was in it? Then I assume the character was much more likable than Broderick, pomposity and incorrect line readings aside.

Colossus: The Forbin Project is a somewhat dystopian film that's similar to War Games in premise (a supercomputer is employed to take over the United States' national defense, but it has other plans)

Sometimes you seem as if you want to see scenes replicated down to the last detail. You may not find the exact same scene that looks the exact same way because each movie is a separate, independent piece of art or creation.

Takedown
Pump Up The Volume (ok, not really about computers, but..)

Wargames is still my favorite, as I was a teenager that was into dialup BBSs at the time, and it really captured the moment for me pretty well.
