College Football 2025: Where's My NIL Money?

There's no college basketball thread, right? Or at least once that's been active in a long time. So this is going in here:

"Former Temple guard Hysier Miller was deemed permanently ineligible after the NCAA found he placed 42 bets totaling $473 on parlays that included 23 Owls games during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. Three of the bets were against his team, according to the NCAA."

I do love the hypocrisy...

Additionally, former Temple special assistant coach Camren Wynter and former graduate assistant Jaylen Bond were found to have violated NCAA rules by betting on professional and collegiate sports, according to the release announcing the violations.

They're going to vote to allow betting on pro sports.

It could've been UCLA's last game at the Rose Bowl as they're trying to move to SoFi Stadium. Which seems to be leading to a huge legal battle.

LSU tried to say they fired Brian Kelly with cause so they wouldn't have to pay him the rest of his contract, couldn't come up with anything, and now they officially are on the hook for $54 million. Minus whatever his next coaching job pays him.

Southern University is expected to name Marshall Faulk their next head coach.

The Michigan/Ohio State game turned out to be a dud.

Pavia absolutely wrecked the Vols.

Let’s go Trojans!

Oregon defeating UW today means that at 8-4, they're most likely out of bowl contention; further fueling speculation that Jebb Ficsh will leave the program at the end of the year.

Yeah, Huskies took way too long to 'wake up,' and Oregon was simply the better team. Eight wins mean Dawgs will probably go to a bowl, just not a 'big' New Year's Eve one. Yeah, I think we'll have to brace for another coaching change. Hopefully, someone more familiar with Big 10-style play.

Our defense is just that bad. We made Kentucky think they had an offense.

Pavia’s pretty good, too.

;)

They’ll definitely get a bowl bid.

My Trojans finished 9-3. They’ll get a decent bowl game too.

6-6 is bowl eligible. Sometimes 5-7 is bowl eligible if there aren't enough .500+ teams. That's how many bowl games there are and why when you come across a random bowl game on TV there are like 400 people in the stands.

Washington will probably go to something like the Sun Bowl or Holiday Bowl or Alamo Bowl.

Rumor has LSU hiring the ultimate coaching mercenary, Lane Kiffin, away from Ole Miss.

Tulane's Jon Sumrall going to Florida.

South Florida's Alex Golesh to Auburn.

Memphis' Ryan Silverfield to Arkansas.
