College Football 2025: Where's My NIL Money?

Started the day watching Ole Miss beat Oklahoma.

Then Vanderbilt beating Missouri.

Now waiting for Texas A&M and LSU.

Great day in college football!

Sanders is 16-17 at Colorado and 0-1 in bowl games. That's probably enough for the school to put his name up in the rafters.

Did you see where the Vandy player twisted the Mizz QB's ankle? QB is out for the year because of it. Dirty af. That player needs to be suspended.

And he's out. I haven't been following LSU, but I looked it up and they're currently 5-3, with losses to top 10 teams. Can someone explain why they're firing him? That's not a terrible record, especially for most teams.

Oh, and 8-0 GT! 😁

Honestly the coaching contracts these schools are agreeing to are pretty fucking stupid, and they’ll keep doing it.

FOMO.

The city of Los Angeles and the Rose Bowl are suing UCLA over allegedly attempting to relocate their games to SoFi Stadium.

Because it’s a state school, and the Governor appoints the Board of Regents who oversee the state school system.

The coach is an employee of the state of Louisiana.

LSU is setup really weird because it has a state law that caps the pay of public employees. The governor being involved is because someone or another (don't remember if it's their president or what) is an empty seat. He's grandstanding quite a bit though because of the way pay is structured at LSU most of it doesn't come directly from the state.

Just seems like the hiring of a pro coach should be left to people that understand the sport. Governor seems like they would have bigger fish to fry.

The governor shouldn't be involved even as someone filling in and he's undercutting LSU by doing so. This isn't normal for LSU or anyone else - it's a shitshow on par with when Tennessee fans revolted against hiring Schiano and our AD went rogue by not communicating with the BoT and then got fired.
