I don't drink that much soda anymore, but if I had to choose I would choose coke over pepsi.

Coke just tastes that much better. Can't stand the diet versions though, don't like the taste at all.

Yep. As a rule, diet sodas just taste wierd.

There are exceptions...but to be frank, they prove the rule.

Sorry..neither..

Diet Coke myself. I can't stand the sugary 'tooth film' that regular Coke or all kinds of Pepsi give me. Being fully aware of the alleged-and-totally-unproven (thank you, legal department) claims about aspartame, I try to limit the intake of even that.

Coke is completely different depending on what it came out of. The stuff in bottles is weaker, and more watery than what's in the cans (probably because full strength coke dissolves plastic). Most fountains are pretty good, except for McDonald's which does something to make it taste like something so different I usually refer to it as "McCoke." So this is really a debate of Pepsi vs WHICH Coke.
I am so glad to find someone else who thinks McDonalds' Coke tastes completely different - in fact, I think the adjective "weird" would be generous. McD's has weird Coke and weird ketchup, both of which only taste good with McD's stuff.

I honestly think they just water it down to nothing, and add extra carbonation to make up for it. It's like having a soda that sat out for a while and let the ice melt into it, but it's still fizzy
This is why you should always get tonic at BK and McD's without ice-- it's already mostly water. :rommie:

I actually like both. Neither one is my favorite. But, the new Pepsi Max is good. I forever will like Coke over Pepsi though.
