Pepsi for me. Don't mind Coke if it's in a restaurant. Can't stand it if it's in a can.

That's actually a very good point. Pepsi pretty much tastes the same everywhere, but Coke is completely different depending on what it came out of. The stuff in bottles is weaker, and more watery than what's in the cans (probably because full strength coke dissolves plastic). Most fountains are pretty good, except for McDonald's which does something to make it taste like something so different I usually refer to it as "McCoke." So this is really a debate of Pepsi vs WHICH Coke.

When it comes to Mountain Dew, I must be in the minority; Standard (with corn syrup) Dew tastes brighter to me and better than Throwback Dew.

Perhaps, but it has a thicker, syrupy texture. The colder the Dew, the more apparent the feeling.

That must be what I like about standard Dew. Plus, I've found that it tastes better out of the can than out of the bottle or fouintain.

Lets end this once and for all. Right now.

I say: Coke all the way, both regular and "zero". Pepsi and Diet Pepsi, although perfectly drinkable, are a pale shadow of Coca Cola's awesomeness.

I hate all soda, except one: Pepsi Max.

Only last year did I even begin to drink the stuff. As a child and young adult, if I had to drink carbonated beverages, it was usually Sprite or Root Beer, but even that was rare.

But then I discovered Pepsi Max.

Now I'm addicted.

Today, I tried Tesco Value Sugar-free Cola. 17p for a whole bottle. It was horrible - like I'd expect liquified garbage to taste, plus loads of artificial sweetner :barf2:

Coke and Pepsi are both comparitively awesome in every way.

Coke is Nectar of the Gods. Even Coke Zero is pretty decent.

I can't stand Pepsi, but my wife is a dedicated Diet Pepsi drinker.

I am so glad to find someone else who thinks McDonalds' Coke tastes completely different - in fact, I think the adjective "weird" would be generous. McD's has weird Coke and weird ketchup, both of which only taste good with McD's stuff.

Oh, and I've been drinking Coke lately, though I really don't care one way or the other. But Coke has points you can collect and trade in for stuff. So I've been doing that. Got three magazine subscriptions for free so far. :D

I honestly think they just water it down to nothing, and add extra carbonation to make up for it. It's like having a soda that sat out for a while and let the ice melt into it, but it's still fizzy.

Good point about the ketchup. I hadn't noticed that before. Then again, I have a rule about McDonald's: you don't ever want to think to much about what the hell you're eating there.

I don't drink that much soda anymore, but if I had to choose I would choose coke over pepsi.

Coke just tastes that much better. Can't stand the diet versions though, don't like the taste at all.

I like regular pepsi better than regular coke, except if its coke with lime, then that's the best. I like diet coke better than diet pepsi.
