Cobra Kai - The Karate Kid Saga Continues

To be honest, I find they've made Kreese a little too intense in the series. He gets away with so much to the point it almost feels one-sided at times.

The cops weren't the only useless authority figures in KK & CK, but also the teachers, particularly in the series. They're either absent entirely when bad things go down or show up in the middle of a fight

Yep, I had to roll my eyes at the teachers in the council meeting. If they'd been more proactive, they could have prevented what went on. They were just as much to blame for letting it get out of control.

In the movies he humiliated and beat a student in public because he finished second in a tournament.

If anything, they have made him less intense.

Humilating and beating one student is one thing. Training multiple students in ways that go unchecked is another. His students are like a pack of vipers. So, I respectfully disagree.

S2 ep4: Dmitri goes to the dojo and gets assaulted by Boomer Palpatine. Interesting to see where this goes, if Joey picks the light side or the dark side of the force. As a fan I'm hoping these leads to Joey kicking Boomer Palpatine's ass and finally owning up to the difference between defending yourself and bullying.

Also wondering where new badass girl is going. She as a major Faith (Buffy) vibe.

Help me remember please (I watched KK 3 literally 30 years ago): what was the matter with him in the movie? I vaguely remember some over-complicated and nefarious plan to ruin LaRusso.

Terry Silver is the rich army buddy of Kreese (it's the dude you see in the flashback last season that says he owes Kreese). In KK3 Silver hires the karate ringer to take on Daniel in the All Valley tournament.

I was not prepared for how good it was. I couldn't believe it. It has its ups and downs but it was surprising at each time.

It's nostalgic about the past without making it a crutch. It takes the story into the present without giving the middle finger to what came before it.

He comes in to help Kreese get revenge after the original Karate Kid. They hire an evil Karate Fighter while Silver alienates Daniel from Mr. Myagi. In the climactic tournament Silver instructs his fighter to inflict as much pain as possible ( gaining a point by striking Daniel painfully, then losing a point again by striking him illegally and painfully again) - Daniel wins again by using a "secret" new Karate technique he learned from Mr. Myagi.

Thank you. And is he an interesting villain? :)
