"Circumferential" vs "Linear" vs "Transwarp" vs...?

Has anyone in Tech Fandom put together a detailed "Warp Drive Development Guide" type document?

I'm looking for something that would cover the differences between the type of warp drive/nacelle configuration in use in different eras. The original Cochrane and Valiant-era drives, the Archer engine, the TOS era "circumferential" (or is there another name for it?), the refit era "Linear", the Transwarp project, the adjustment of the warp scale, whatever kind of drives are in use in the TNG era ("advanced linear"?), variable warp geometry, to the Sovereign class era and beyond...

Anything like that been compiled?
