Christopher Lee Knighted

Early night. :bolian:

Good answer. I don't even know anymore. I think I may have drunk myself into a time warp. Fun though.
Was a night-hood involved? ;)

Alas, not tonight. The wench was already asleep when I returned from the pub, and I didn't think waking her was worth the risk. Maybe if I play my cards right tomorrow though. Having said that, the fact that I'm typing this with one eye closed in order to actually see the keyboard leads me to believe that, for once, it'll be me that has the headache. Life is cruel.

On that bombshell, I bid thee goodnight. Or morning. Either way, I'm going to bed.

I thought he was dead, my bad.
I mostky remember him from some bad Dracula Movies

I remember some of those :) While most 50s/60s stuff I dislike, the horror films from those years were special. I think part of it were the settings. All things that are familiar to us, that have now become lost in time -- the rustic villages, the mansions with big furniture and hidden rooms, and the candle and gas lighting adding their bit to the quiet psychic mood of the film.

Couple that with the small scale agendas of the villains, the non militant policemen, and the distinct social class divisions complete with their appropriate attires, and it's just a lovely atmosphere to set a film in.
