Hope this is the right place to post this.

He was 93. It's sad because he was such an iconic actor for such a long time. But he was Dracula, a Bond villain, he was in Star Wars and Lord of the Rings and so many Hammer films over the years, he leaves a heck of a legacy behind.

RIP Sir Christopher Lee :(

Edited to add link

I'm glad to have seen him make it as far as he did.

He was also in one of the best Space: 1999 episodes, "Earthbound."

RIP, Sir Christopher.

I had the immense pleasure of meeting him once. What a fantastic human being he was.

Goodbye Christopher. You are already missed...

Sad but anything over 90 has to be considered a good innings especially when you've lived a life as rich and interesting as his. Kept working right to the end too.

Sad now :( Great actor and singer.

Interesting fact: He volunteered to fight for the Finnish forces during the Winter War in 1939. But, luckily for him, none of the British volunteers were placed in the front lines. Instead he was just given a snow suit and some guarding duty for couple of weeks far from the front lines.

Great actor. A classic gentleman. He played more than his fair share of antagonist roles in his career. Msy i suggest watching a movie called Jinnah where he played the lead protagonist role. Excellent acting by him in that movie.

May he rest in peace.

Well, fuck no. That’s... I mean it’s a good age and all, but still.... I’ll have to watch one of his tonight. The only upside is I like to imagine Peter Cushing waiting for him so they can walk side by side into wherever.

Rest in peace. A legendary actor and a fascinating human being who lived life to the fullest right up until the end. He will be missed.

Damn, I was only just thinking about him recently too, while reading a Star Wars novel which featured Dooku in it.

I've been watching his films whenever possible since that first Dracula when I was a little guy first discovering horror films. Not exactly what you'd call a friendly face, but I'll miss seeing it!

He was a very accomplished man in many fields, and possibly the most prolific actor of his century.

As others have said, Legend. From Sherlock Holmes to Dracula, to Bond, to Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. He has been in some epic film franchises. Shame he never did Star Trek. We won't have anyone like him again. I'm glad to see him on screen for so long, the last movie I saw in him was 'The Hobbit' Part 3 where he kicked all sorts of awesome ass.

There was something he once said about Peter Cushing and his passing which I have always found touching and perhaps appropriate to repeat here

I don't want to sound gloomy, but at some point of your lives every one of you will notice that you have in your life one person, one friend whom you love and care for very much. That person is so close to you that you are able to share some things only with him. For example, you can call that friend, and from the very first maniacal laugh or some other joke you will know who is at the other end of that line. We used to do that with him (Peter Cushing) so often. And then when that person is gone, there will be nothing like that in your life ever again. - Christopher Lee
