Same here. The guy easily deserved an Oscar for his performance in American Psycho, one of the best I've ever seen. Love himThat was one bad weekend for him. I love the guy, though, and in a perverse way this just makes me love him more.![]()
Absolutely. I agree that his actions were unprofessional and juvenile, but we all have bad days where we commit actions we regret later. It's part of life, and if he and the DP have settled things, then that should be the end of it IMO.He's human. He makes mistakes. He has bad days. Not much else to see here.
You know, if I don't know who the DP was, whether he was experienced in the field or not, but if I was him and I felt like I had nothing to lose, I would have done one of two things:
1) Goad Bale in physically hitting me, but do it in a way that doesn't obviously seem like I'm goading (like saying calmly, "Okay, just relax" or "Calm down" or "Chill out" or "No need to flip"). Then I can sue him to no end.
2) Listen to him tear me a new one and then, when they start filming, intentionally walk into the shot again. Would probably get canned, but, like I said if I had nothing to lose, it would totally be worth it.

Well, we don't know how many takes they already wasted for that scene. Could've been 20 or so.I think he's a kickass actor but fucking hell, what a bastard. How bad could it really have been for one scene?
Do people get this worked up every time an AV component is added to a piece of really old news?

The funniest thing about all this, I think, is the discovery that in everyday life, people really do call him "McG."![]()
