Chocolate milk is awesome.

The best thing about the army was the free chocolate milk in the mess!

I thought it was travelling to exotic lands, meeting interesting people and getting to kill them.

Wait, that's the Marines.

Anyone in southeast Michigan needs to try Calders Dairy's chocolate milk. Kicks BOTOX! And buttocks!

Ovaltine makes a sort-of extended cameo appearance in A christmas Story.
Don't forget its blatant namedrop in Young Frankenstein too.

"OVALtine?" :guffaw:

Me, I was never an Ovaltine man. I was always one for Horlicks - used to come in traditional malt flavour, malted chocolate, and HotChoc versions. At one point we used to have Milo - just add milk (hot or cold) to it for a chocolate milk drink.

Nowadays, I still like a nice mug of Horlicks to settle me for the night. :bolian:

I bought a monster 4 liter jug yesterday, simply because I felt like it. First time I've had it in years and YEARS.

It is going to become a regular on my grocery list from now on.

Thank you for taking the time to read this very important announcement.

Its really, really, really bad for you. 8 oz has 32 grams of sugar!!!!!!!!

RAMA

Okay then: every second shopping trip, and only a 2L jug.

I always hated chocolate milk, even as a kid, but I really really enjoy hot chocolate. Strange:confused:
My DD is the same way. I don't understand it. But I don't question it too much. If I bought chocolate milk (or syrup to make chocolate milk), I'd just drink it all anyway. As RAMA mentioned, there's just a lot of sugar in chocolate milk! But it sure is yummy!

I like chocolate on its own. I also like chocolate sauce, chocolate spread, chocolate cake, and chocolate biscuits.

But I dislike chocolate milk, hot chocolate, and chocolate icecream.

No food is really bad for you. That'd be a poison.

I don't think we get it up here in Canada. What is ovaltine? It sounds like something old people take to stay regular.

I've seen Ovaltine in stores up here. My grandmother used to get it all the time because it's a wee bit healthier than Quik powder or other things like that. Not bad at all, but not as good as using chocolate syrup.

It was always peculiar because the mix was granular; it was like chocolate sand.

I've seen it too, though not recently - but I haven't looked for it in forever.

It has a malt flavour to it - imagine if you dissolved Maltesers in hot chocolate.

From the Loblaws in Empress Walk comes proof! :techman:

I have never seen Ovaltine in a container like that. Odd. Now, I must go find some, preferably the malted variety.

I haven't seen it in a glass jar in a long time; around here, it comes in a cardboard, cylindrical container.

^Same here. I have seen it in a different shaped plastic or glass jar, similar to a mayonnaise jar though.
