"Children of Time" Line-by-Line

Hello, welcome!

We recently finished our "Dead Stop" Line-by-Line over in the ENT forum.

After each completed thread, we're randomly picking someone who participated to choose the next episode we do. The lucky winner this time around was Alienesse! And Alienesse has chosen DS9's "Children of Time" as our next Line-by-Line challenge!

For any unfamiliar with our "game," you are asked to post only a single line (defined as one character speaking without interruption by another character) per message. You can post as often as you like, but someone else must post a line in between your posts.

Our "rule" is that if the episode has a "To Be Continued..." on the end, it is done in a single thread, but if it's just an arc of related episodes, each episode is a separate thread.

As before, at the conclusion of this thread, I or, the Original Gerber Baby, CoveTom, or my Sith Apprentice, leandar, will run the randomizer to determine who will pick the next episode and get it going.

Last one was the longest Single episode and non movie that we ever had, I'll try to pick up the pace a bit. If we wanna speed things up, that's fine by me.

Who wants coffee or Raktajino? Not you, Sisko, you're trying to cut down.

Let's Go!

The Defiant at Warp.

Captain's Log Stardate: 50814.2. The Defiant is returning to Deep Space Nine after a weeklong reconnaissance mission in the Gamma Quadrant.

[Mess hall]

JADZIA: I can't wait to get home and sleep in my own bed. The bunks on this ship are so uncomfortable.

Kira: You know what I could use? A weekend at the Golian Spa.

KIRA: I miss him. But last time we were on Bajor, we went to the Kenda Shrine and we asked the Prophets if we were meant to walk the same path.

Dax: I guess I'd rather believe that any relationship can work as both people really want it to.

ODO: I'm not sure I have an opinion on the subject. Excuse me. I need to regenerate.
(Odo leaves.)

Later on the bridge, a crewman is bringing coffee and raktajino on a tray.

Sisko: No, thanks. I'm trying to cut down.

O'BRIEN: I'm making Molly a dollhouse for her birthday. Thank you. The house itself was easy, but the furniture? Even with a microlathe, I'm not sure I'm going to get it all finished in time.
