Nice to see they took a whole 5 1/2 seconds to clean up the mistake!
Yeah, that's a pretty shoddy fix. Could they not have just fiddled with the hue in that area until the correct green was achieved. Five minutes would have been better spent than the five seconds, heh-heh. Of course, that particular wallpaper is just a promotional image so doesn't really matter in the end, but still.
The fact they chose to cover it up like that rather than change the colour could indicate that the human skin colouring in the pictures is a plot point in the episode and not a mistake.
I did mention on page 3 that the actress had no green makeup on her lips
Perhaps some Silurians have latent chameleon abilities?
Maybe she picked something up from some bad monkey meat?
Monkey "meat"? Given what some fans have speculated, one might reason she enjoys "clams" better.
Or it could be that it was a mistake and whoever fixed the mistake did a shoddy job. In fact, taking the effort* to fix it rather than let people speculate suggests that they realized they screwed up.
Or it could be a plot point related to a spoiler, and we know how territorial Moffat can get about those.
Which is what you said in your first post that I proposed the alternate explanation to.
Well, you realize the next logical step is to start crazy conspiracy theories...
Madame Vastra and Jenny will end up being Oswin's great-great.....grand mothers.
The reason for the makeup inconsistencies is that the Rani and Omega are changing history!
This is how bad rumors start.
*heads over to GallifreyBase to post the above as fact and steps away to watch the board implode*
Bleedingcool has put up another clip from the show. I'm getting excited... spoillers, yadda, yadda, http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/12...stery-in-yet-another-trailer-for-the-snowmen/
The green lips return.
I wonder if there's some allergy issue with the makeup and they've decided to go with painting the lips green in post?
Is it possible they've always done that and we just never saw the pictures from fillming? After all, wasn't something similar done with the cactus people in The End of Time?
Newsarama has a preview article about a special screening in Manhattan of the Christmas Special. It is enjoyable and has a few comments that I found interesting about the Doctor and the Tardis as well as others in the show. Spoilers ahead and all that. http://www.newsarama.com/tv/doctor-who-christmas-special-snowmen-preview.html
These annual screenings make me wish I lived in New York.
