Children in Need 2008

...the kid who talked to the Doctor replying, "Are you thick or something?". Not sure, but I don't think "thick" implied "dumb" in 1851.

The TARDIS translated the idiom for the audience.

Furthermore it doesn't make any sense for someone in 1851 to know minutiae about the Doctor, like allons-y. Not unless he's from a more advanced civilization who's had contact with the Doctor.

There's always Torchwood. Granted, the Doctor hadn't started saying "allons-y" at his first encounter with proto-Torchwood, but they could've gotten information about the Doctor's other pre-1851, post-Doomsday adventures.

Fun clip, I had a little melancholy when the Doctor stepped out and I remembered what they had done to Donna but this looks like a good start for the Xmas Special.

if Tennant was staying for S5, I think they should do a Galaxy Quest type episode.

an alien ship is clocked in Orbit of the earth, and getting ready to invade, as shape changes they invade by watching the media of the planet, and working out the best way to scare them.

They start by beaming up the empty Dalek cases from Cardiff, and change them to work like they do on the show, meanwhile the aliens themselves transform into the Dalek, and get inside the shell, whilst some of them change into Klingons & fashion Klingon weapons.

Anyways the aliens beam down in there Dalek shells and start to exterminate the general public, RTDs is forced to go on TV, saying that this is nothing to do with him.

Meanwhile back on board the alien space ship, one of the aliens having seen the redemption theme, and the good humanity stands for from the TV & movies, beams up all the Doctor Who actors (& maybe Sulu) (nice excuse to have old actors come on the show) and tells them what is going on, and how to stop the invasion.

I like the idea of the "time period" being a set-up of sorts because that would explain why the other Doctor acts like David Tennant. It could also explains the Cyberman / dog thing. I can't wait for this thing to come out already.

except Torchwood aren't/weren't founded for another 19 years...

What can I say, I'm an ugly american. You're lucky I get the century right when I remember the fictional history of other countries.

Shame. The Torchwood lesbians from Fragments could have shown up.

Hi guys.

Been over in Trek XI for the past, well, month.

Looks interesting to say the least.

Looks as if this Alternate Doctor has taken on the role of Ten, cos its just Ten with a different face, although, from 15 secs of footage, its nothing to judge by.

Looks good though.
