Check Out This Ghostbusters 3 Rundown

I have no idea why people find Seth Rogan funny. But then, I have no idea why people find Bill Murray funny, so I guess it's appropriate.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

Aykroyd's disconnection from reality is rather notorious by this point; given that the script isn't even finished yet (as per Harold Ramis' comments a month ago), I highly doubt that pre-production is so far along that shooting could commence by any point this summer.
If the game is a big success I wouldn't be surprised to see the movie fast tracked.

I dunno, these ladies might be easy on the eyes, but neither of them are particularly funny.

Aykroyd's making me afraid.

NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

For the love of god she can not act!!

Seconded. And she has a lousey screen presance.

Yes, but she has fantastic... um... assets.

I'll take any actress with good acting abilities, screen presance, and character, and a flat chest, over boobs anyday.

I hate Seth Rogan. He was acceptable on "Newsradio", but everywhere else he's just not funny.

When I started reading the facts about Indiana Jones 4, the Star Wars prequels ... I knew they were gonna be cheesy crap. I am starting to get this feeling about GB3. Hope I am wrong.

Agreed. I despise Seth Rogen. Superbad is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Pineapple Express was only barely salvaged by James Franco. Knocked Up was pretty good but I don't think Rogen had any great contribution to that success.

But Alyssa Milano? There's always fascinating possibilities with Alyssa Milano.

The only thing I ever liked her in was Embrace of the Vampire (for obvious & base reasons:drool:) and I doubt that Ghostbusters 3 would replicate any of those circumstances.:(

I would add Will Smith, Seth Rogan, and Steve Carrell as my other cast members.

Smith has been rumored ever since, like, 12 years ago when the late Chris Farley was also supposed to be in it.

Personally, I don't give a shit about a new team. Just give me the old guys!

You're right, my mistake. Viewing his IMDB profile, I've only seen the cancelled-too-early good TV series "Freaks and Geeks", and I dont' recall him. No opinion on him then.

"Fast-tracked" does not equal "accomplish the casting, re-writes, production designs, special effects pre-visualizations and other work that go along with a big-budget sci-fi movie within four months."

A long time about there was a licensed Pen & Paper RPG called Ghostbusters International. The idea was that there are hauntings in more places than just New York City, and there are occasionally world-destroying supernatural convergences in places other than New York City, so the original four had little choice but to make a franchise out of it. As a result, there is a Ghostbusters in practically every major city in the world, all using equipment developed and techniques pioneered by the originals.

This setup would probably make the most sense. Ghosts aren't going to go away, and there are far too many hauntings worldwide for four people to handle alone. A franchise system would be the best qay to expand the Ghostbusters brand without risking overextending their own resources.

If they were going to bring in cast members from Team Seth Rogen/Judd Apatow to become new ghostbusters, my choices would be Elizabeth Banks  and Paul Rudd.

I was being ironical. I'm a theatre actor and while I love a good pair of boobs like the next guy, an actress can really get me going if she can give a believable performance.

At the same point in time, Ghostbusters does fall into the category of popcorn movie and the whole lowest common denominator thing. At that level, they'll get the sexy actress who can't act but makes a low-cut tank top look like the next best thing to prime rib.

Look at Star Trek and Gaila. No, not a huge part, but she was the only significant female part outside of Uhura and J.J. sure as hell wasn't going to put her in her underwe-- oh wait.

I rest my case.

Yeah, just look at that hot, young cast: Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Dan Akroyd, Rick Moranis, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, Sigourney Weaver. It's like the cast of 90210!

^He was talking about Dushku, not the entire cast.

And yes, Dushku would be the "She can't act but we'll put her in there because geeks love her and she's got a nice pair of tits" choice.

So would this be Duskhu and Milano's uniforms?

If this movie really does start filming at the end of this year.... and if Dollhouse hasn't been canceled by then... then Dushku would probably be out.

Is there a way we can get Bruce Campbell in this movie? :) Maybe he can be Oscar's father.

As much as I would love to see a 3rd GB...this project does not sound promising to me. I never thought I would be one of those people, but I kinda wish they would just leave it alone.

Then again, I have been wrong before. It might turn out good. I suppose I should reserve judgment until I see some official word about the movie. Although, I have to admit, I am not too thrilled about the creative team (Apatow & Co.) currently behind it.

Original Ghostbusters movie - Great.

Ghostbusters II - Crap.

They should probably quit while they're ahead...
