Check Out This Ghostbusters 3 Rundown

Dan Aykroyd told the Los Angeles Times that a third Ghostbusters movie could begin shooting by this summer; that Sigourney Weaver is on board now, as are the original squad of Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson; and that the film could introduce a five-member "new generation" team with several female members, including possibly Alyssa Milano and Dollhouse's Eliza Dushku.

I'm really excited that GB3 might finally be happening.

According to IMDB, It looks like Alyssa Milano has already done voice work for the upcoming Ghostbusters video game.

 

I'd go to the theater to see it for sure! I cant believe they have waited this long to make a new Ghostbusters movie really!

 

I always thought the new, young team idea was a stupid one. But Alyssa Milano? There's always fascinating possibilities with Alyssa Milano.

 

Its 'Extreme Ghostbusters: the movie'! I wonder who they will get to play Eduardo.

As much as I love Ghostbusters, I can't shake the eerie feeling that this is going to be a giant damn mess.

 

Did one lose the entire planet in a devorce?

why else would they pull these people from their crypt to make a movie

If the originals don't have a significant role in the movie and are only advisors to the new team... you can count me out.

 

Rumors say that Sigourney Weaver only agreed to appear in Ghostbusters 3 if her character shaves her head, has sex with a ghost and dies.

 

Weavers career these days is almost non-existent. Small supporting roles, voice work, etc.

 

Perhaps she chooses to do so. Many actors do that as they don't feel the need to be in the limelight all of the time

 

What actor doesn't want to be in the professional limelight? Privately, no limelight - professionally, limelight.

 

Weaver's been busy working on James Cameron's Avatar over the last year or so hasn't she? Anyways I've always been excited and intrigued about the prospect of a third and final Ghosbuster's movie and with all the sequels and remakes afoot I don't see why it can't be attempted. Besides I thought that the definitive word on another movie was that the game would be the closest we would get and that has been delayed forever it seems! Alysisa Milano would be interesting, I would add Will Smith, Seth Rogan, and Steve Carrell as my other cast members.
