Speaking to
Lauren Laverne on BBC Radio 6Music this morning, Brooker said that a year after the broadcast of series two of
Zeppotron’s
dystopian drama, viewers could expect more episodes, but not as a conventional three-part series.
“There’s definitely going to be more,” he said. “There’s going to be some and then there’s going to be some more – you’ll get one helping and then there’ll be another helping.”
Brooker added that there had been, “a hitch, a slight delay” in developing series three, partly due to the fact that one of his ideas for a futuristic technological scenario occured in reality.
“The frustrating thing about a show like that is that quite often, the things you’re writing about then come true. I’ve noticed that one idea I had, there’s something very similar that seems to have happened in real life,” he said.
