Characters you'd like to see

F. King Daniel

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
Now we know when (2255ish), we want to know who. Amanda Grayson was mentioned as a possibility, who else would everyone like to see crop up? My list:

Carter Winston
Robert April (version from Diane Carey's Final Frontier)
Richard Robau
George Kirk*
Young versions of the entire TOS main and guest cast (you know it's inevitable if the show continues beyond one season)

*I suspect he'd be off-limits though due to his scheduled appearance in Star Trek 4.

To be honest I just want new ones.

But I wouldn't mind a brief cameo - maybe Garth of Izar, Number One, Pike.

Number One.

As was pointed out in another thread, maybe a little Crew inspiration? :)

I don't really want to see anyone from the other shows in Discovery. They'll undoubtedly be played by different actors and will be too different to their established versions for my taste like T'Pau in Enterprise, Sarek in ST 2009 or Carol Marcus and Khan in Into Darkness. Or indeed Zefram Cochrane in FC which angered a lot of TOS fans at the time.

I have no issue whatsoever with previously established races from other shows appearing as long as the date of Starfleet's first contact with them hasn't already been depicted on screen. Looking at you, Enterprise, and your needless Ferengi/Borg escapades.

George Kirk*

Not to mention I don't see Chris Hemsworth doing TV guest appearances at this stage of his career.

Really? I would have loved to see how they reacted if Ron Moore carried through with one idea he had in the early stages of changing Cochrane to a woman.

I'd maybe like to meet Lieutenant (future Admiral) Nogura, because we heard of but never met him. Perhaps a member of the Stiles or Paris families, who are supposed to be 'Old Starfleet.'

Personally I'd like to see someone who is a crossbreed, but not part-human. Like the offspring of a union between a Andorian and a Vulcan.

I wouldn't mind young versions of the TOS characters, especially a young Kirk. He should be quite a bit different than the one from the new movies and the contrast should be interesting.

I actually suggested to IDW that they do an AR comic-miniseries showing Kirk reading his dad's old logs, maybe showing how he met Winona. No response (yet).

If Robert April appears, Sarah should, too.

I wouldn't mind known long-lifespan characters from the ENT era showing up. Phlox, T'Pol come to mind -- with the one caveat -- it be done tastefully (and I guess infrequently).

An appearance by a prime universe Robau would be cool. I just kind of worry a TV episode isn't big enough to showcase just how bad ass he is...

T'Pau.

If they decided to involve Kirk and Spock, it'd be kinda fun to see Jimmy Bennett and Jacob Kogan reprise their roles as young Kirk and Spock. They'd be about the right ages.

I wouldn't mind seeing April and/or Pike, or Number One.

An old ambassador Soval would be nice, and I think Gary Graham would be up to it. Also T'Pau.

And of course, the "Klingon Captain" alluded to would be Chang when he was a bit younger.

If things go as Fuller said that he likes, we'll see Ryder as Amanda Greyson and Pike and Spock (Quinto and Greenwood). Maybe. That's just stuff Fuller said he'd like to do in the second season, and he hasn't finished the first one yet. LOL

Number One (The Cage)
Capt Pike
Young James T Kirk
Younger Dr McCoy
A Soong relative
Sarek
Amanda
Soval
T'Pol
Admiral Archer
Trip Tucker
T'Pau
A Decker relative
Capt April
A Picard relative

None. Star Trek is set in a big universe. There's no reason we have to keep running into the same people over and over. I want new characters, and I want them to be good enough characters that they stand on their own and don't need cameos from other series to help keep up the interest level.
