Change episode titles

I don't know if this has been done on here before, but I thought it might be of interest now.

What titles do you feel could have worked equally as well or better for other episodes?

Feel free to include early draft script titles....and if you would like to suggest your own titles for episodes, that would be fun, too.

Considering what Matt Decker said about the planet killer, I think The Devil in the Dark would have been a good title fit for that episode.

The Tholian Web....could have been called Patterns of Force.

That Which Survives....The Man Trap.

The Ultimate Computer....the Enterprise becomes The Doomsday Machine.

This Side of Paradise....Space Seed.

City on the Edge of Forever....All Our Yesterdays.

Court Martial....The Enemy Within.

Let That Be Your Last Battlefield....A Private Little War.

The Way to Eden....The Paradise Syndrome.

Spock's Brain....Dagger of the Mind.

I believe this has been done at least once before, but since those threads have likely been dormant over a year, now's my chance to suggest THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH

Assuming that's a reference to "Amok Time" (which it pretty much has to be, right?), honestly, your title is just as good as the former, which is for my money one of the dumbest ep titles in Star Trek. "The Naked Time" is up there as well. I've always thought of those two titles as presaging the ep-naming convention of Friends - "The One With _______." Except I don't think the Trek titles were meant as a knowing joke.

Spock's Brain....The Wonder Years ;)

Arena....V: The Final Battle

The Conscience of The King....Fatal Attraction

The Savage Curtain....Green Acres

Elaan of Troyius....Driving Miss Daisy

Patterns of Force....The Great Dictator

For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky....Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure

The Paradise Syndrome....Rocky

Assignment: Earth....What's Up, Pussycat ?

A Taste of Armageddon....Apocalypse Now

What Are Little Girls Made Of ?....Christine

Whom Gods Destroy....Face Off

Amok Time....Kill Bill

A Piece of the Action....Goodfellas

Friday's Child....Three Men and a Baby

The Deadly Years....Grumpy Old Men

Turnabout Intruder....Freaky Friday

The Devil in the Dark....They Shoot Hortas, Don't They ?

It's a reference. There's no way I was the first, or maybe even the 30th, to think it up.

IMO ''The Naked Time'' is a perfectly accurate emotional reflection of what Kirk's crew is experiencing. I'd almost apply it to the frozen lab plotline as well.........but I suddenly recalled the man in the shower was fully clothed.

I'LL certainly never forget it. Though SPOCK'S ASS works partially as well.

The Menagerie- Forbidden Planet
In the Wink of An Eye- Faster Pussycat, Kill Kill.
City of the Edge of Forever- Somewhere In Time
Tomorrow is Yesterday- Back to the Future
Journey To Babel- Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?
Space Seed-Man and Superman
Where No Man Has Gone Before- Gods and Monsters

I thought the OP's idea was to replace the name of a TOS episode with another actual name of a TOS episode, not make up new titles for TOS episodes, though the OP can clarify.
