For five minutes in the death zone he was nearly the Doctors grandson in law, but only cos he and Tegan were on a break.
Right. We all saw the eyes Five was making at Susan. Turlough was getting the business end of a Dalek before he got anywhere near that action.

That was..um… grandfatherly affection. Yes. I know.

And there’s family form. Son in law was the Doctor, is the Doctor again, married the Doctors daughter who is also the Doctors daughter, and if Doctor senior tells the tale of how he nearly had the Doctors granddaughter, well that’s more Dukes of Hazzard than Doctor Who, and therefore a problem for the Other Side.
