CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

I'd say it also worked out pretty good for The Search for Spock, The Voyage Home, The Undiscovered Country, First Contact and Insurrection.

As I said, for a while, and for THOSE movies.Then the cheapness of the movies began to be noticeable, compared to other sci-fi films, and the series suffered because of it.
 
Understandable. However, the eight-sentence description is likely a good barometer for how the general public now views the Axanar case.
I love that is says the new version "has yet to be released"...............hard to release something that will most likely never go in front of a lens........
 
Axanar lawyers are going to argue they are not doing anything different that any other fan production. They just have more money. It will put all fan productions in jeopardy as they have crossed an invisible line for CBS/Paramount.

That is a REALLY scary thought.
 
Never heard of Axanar but I'm at they're site now and I'm intrigued. I really hope to Q that Paramount loses this lawsuit. As 9gs seemed to imply, this could screw EVERYONE making fan-creations related to "Star Trek."
