I have a feeling at some point Slow Lane is going to say something he shouldn't and possibly get his patronus in hot water

(these are just snippets - scroll down to the very bottom of this page to read SL's verbal diarrhea in all its glory: http://fanfilmfactor.com/2017/02/19...oductions-to-build-a-studio-than-to-rent-one/ )

So it's been over a month since the settlement, does any know if Alec has made an strides getting the film made yet? Such as finishing sets, contracting actors, setting up filming dates, etc..

Sadly, I think as long as he's involved, and the stigma that's been attached because of his shenanigans, many talented people are going to shy away from the project, regardless of how good the source material might be. Nobody wants to get dragged into court over a silly fan film, even if the end product is any good.

Cripes, there are a ton of sworn statements about him taking compensation. The IRS doesn't care if you lose more money than you put in. They care that the forms are filled out and filed so that they know about you.

WHO KNEW abiding by tax law was so complicated! WHO KNEW building a studio was so complicated! WHO KNEW giving up an appetite for junkets and buckling down was so complicated!

I would imagine we can expect a statement appearing somewhere stating that "there's some stuff coming real soon that's very cool but I can't tell you about it yet but please visit the online store please thankyou" any time now.

And remember - Axanar had 60 days from the date the settlement was announced to 'wrap up' the remaining legal issues needed to comply with the settlement (IE I don't think the Settlement itself has been fully signed off by the Judge as yet); PLUS I have a feeling his 'priivate fundraising isn't going as well as he hoped, OR if it is - he's still funneling it ALL into finishing his for profit studio (minus his personal living expenses of course).
