I completely agree, the truth is out there.
Not "out there." it's right there.
Some of the Axanar marines I've encountered online read that kind of document and say, "So what? That's just what CBS or Paramount says." But it's based on information that came from from Axanar insiders. "Well, that's what Paramount says. I don't believe it."
And it is also presented under oath, under penalty of perjury.
This is why I make these documents available for all. People should know what is in these sworn court documents.
The very fact that these documents are sworn makes all the difference. People's recollections have a way of changing after they raise their right hands and "swear to tell the truth under pain and penalty of perjury".
The problem is that some of the diehards all but refuse to look at the court documents. They get their alt.facts from Alec and that's all they want or need.
There's a portion of the human race that hate to be wrong on anything they are invested in. Which is why people like Peters and televangelists thrive.

I was given that same response (paraphrasing: "CBS/P lied.") when I had that same conversation two days ago .
Which is what I added in my own conversation spoken to above:
(PARAPHRASING HEAVILY but I've pretty much got most the wording really 'close' & definitely the feeling of the conversation)
...me: "They were referencing, often quoting word for word, the defendant's Own Words in his Own Personal Legally Sworn To Truth Testimony. These legally sworn documents have in fact been seen in their unaltered state by the public. This is incontrovertible. It can be seen. The defendant swore to the court what he was saying, under penalty of perjury, was true. The Plaintiffs referenced and quoted his own sworn testimony. Where is the lie?"
..... person: "That's not what he meant."
... me: "The defendant swore 'those words, that testimony' under penalty of perjury to be true but he meant something different?"
... "He [the defendant] has explained that."
.... me: "Did he legally change that testimony?"
... person: "He didn't need to, but he explained it."
....me: "He explained what?"
....person: "That CBS/P were lying, that he didn't mean what they said he said."
...me: "They are quoting him."
....person: "They lied about that."
...me: "Did he explain this to his attorney? Wouldn't she immediately file against them for perjury? Wouldn't there now be a case of perjury being brought Against the Plaintiffs?"
...person: "There should be."
...me: "Is there one?"
...person: "There might be."
...me: "This is something you know? Wouldn't this be headline news if it were happening?"
...person: "It might not be happening yet."
...me: "It's been two weeks. Were they to have perjured their testimony wouldn't that be grounds that effect the settlement, maybe take this to court so a jury could hear the exact un-perjured truth to win the defendant's case?"
...person: "He's moving on. And he's still making it."
...me: "His independent ST movie?"
...person: "Yes. No, but he won."
...me: "Won what?"
... person: "The settlement."
...me: "He's making his independent ST movie?"
...person: "It's 30 minutes but there's going to be more that will bring it to movie length."
...me: "He's making independent ST because of his win?"
...person: "He's making it with the guidelines but he gets to use everybody."
...me: "Is it independent ST?"
...person: "He's following the guidelines."
...me: "He won the settlement, but is following the guidelines & giving up his independent ST movie?"
...person: "Yeah."
...me: "If he won why isn't it full length and independent ST?"
...person: "Because of the settlement."
...me: "You're saying the Plaintiffs lied in their testimony [an aside in this conversation.. *I* read the defendant himself saying this too] but Atty. Ranahan didn't use this to immediately strike that testimony and he settled and didn't get his independent ST film?"
... person: "It's settled."
...me: "The Plaintiffs lied."
...person: "It's been settled."
...me: "The defendant settled even though the Plaintiffs are caught lying?"
....person: "It's been explained already."
What little was left of the above conversation is the same circular dialogue.
And there it is. Lead a horse to water...

Although I don't make monthly trips to Vegas to be "a big time poker player", I do like to gamble. Who wants to bet me:
Axanar will never be made in any form by Alec Peters: 15 min shorts, books, documentary, Axacon, VFX reels, DVD's, BluRays, etc. Nothing.
You know why it's a safe bet? There's no money in it. Alec has moved on.
P.S. He's in London playing in a Warhammer tournament as we speak. Because priorities.

No he doesn't and I recall several occasions pre-election where he implored his supporters not to vote for him. Following RMB on Twitter (for I have no shame) reveals a person I would very much see eye-to-eye with in person (and not just through a mutual love of 1980s bands). The enemy of our enemy ought to be our friend but I would struggle with that.
