CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

If the faux-documentary Prelude is all we ever see of Axanar, it would be kind of appropriate to book-end it with a talking-head documentary about Axanar the lawsuit.

I imagine Tommy Kraft would be willing to do some composite work for the talking head backdrops. Or maybe just a Wolfman-style effect where the building morphs from nameless construct into Ares Studios into Valkyrie Studios into a dystopian hideout.

Ok, I just caught up on Axamonitor and I have to say I laughed out loud at the comments attributed to Alec Peters regarding Carlos and how Mr Peters feels about him :rommie:

Have Data and Wesley exploring the ruins of a warehouse, and discover chronitons and a pin from Garth's lapel.

I just can't stop picturing Peters banging his desk as he says it, sending his models flying in the process.

This might seem like a strange connection, but it reminds me of the once-urban-myth about the E.T. cartridges buried in a landfill. For the longest time classic game nerds kept suggesting that someone like Mythbusters take that on, but cynics kept saying that it just didn't resonate enough to justify the expense, but sure enough, the landfill got drilled and some carts got liberated (some in working condition) in conjunction with a documentary about the crash.
The documentary being Atari: Game Over. Funnily enough, I had lunch with E.T. programmer Howard Scott Warshaw a few weeks ago. :)

^Not to mention, a big ass greenscreen!
Imagine the porn movies one could make. Sex all around the galaxy.

I just popped into "Who Monitors the Axamonitor" page and notice that ALL reader comments to every single post have been deleted. So much for a truthful open dialog.
So you were monitoring the monitor of the Axamonitor. I'm monitoring you. This is fun, like a conga line.

I wouldn't be able to perform with that cat Boomer watching me. I'm not kidding. I once went out with a girl who kept a cat at her place and the wretched thing always came into the bedroom and just sat and.....watched.

Voyeuristic Cat, someone crowdfund that idea for a cartoon or something.

the kerning is quite wide on short lines. Perhaps a font that doesn't emphasize that aspect could be better.
I widened the lines as otherwise there was a lot of white space. If things change and I need to update, I'll see how I can fix that. Thanks for the feedback!

I'm curious why the May 11 referral to ADR isn't listed. From PACER:
ORDER/REFERRAL to ADR Procedure No. 1 by Judge R. Gary Klausner. Case ordered to Magistrate Judge Eick for Settlement Conference.
And the entry at the top has the added line:
Judge: R Gary Klausner
Referred: Charles F Eick
Case #: 2:15-cv-09938
Nature of Suit 820 Property Rights - Copyrights
Cause 17:101 Copyright Infringement

Axamonitor-Monitor posted on facebook that he was shutting down.

Can't help noticing...the "Cause" number, listed above in BK613s
Post is so very close to the Lady's Designation, 1701...perhaps She has also had enough, and is making Her presence known and felt...

So JJ Abrams, announces that the lawsuit is going away, as this is not an appropriate way to deal with fans. I agree with that 100%. Don't Believe me... I've posted a link at the end of my comments,

What does that have to do with, this page you ask? Well I for one intend to Stand with JJ and Justin, in supporting an end to this lawsuit, and a return to all of us being Trekkers, or Trekkies...

So this page has been marked for deletion. And Much like the lawsuit is going away. With Facebook that takes 2 weeks.

Let me be honest, if you can't come by here and help celebrate Star-Trek or this decision, I will delete you and have no problem with it.

Face it guys it's over its done, nothing more to see, move along...

My advice, take that anger and do something positive with it.

Wonder what he's going to do when he realizes the law suit is not "going away" quite as easily as he was led to believe....

Actually, that's just an order for the parties to schedule and attempt ADR. No date has been set for ADR yet, so far as I am aware.

Start another Facebook page.

It's the positive way to deal with anger.
