CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

This is what caught my eye there, and it's the author of the blog speaking:
"All are welcome. You’re even invited to be critical ......................... not every comment on the fan group has towed the Axanar line. Everyone’s entitled to an opinion. Just don’t be a dick about it–that’s the only real rule we have here.

But I see a total disconnect between what he said and what the 'head we' spoken of says:

"Hey moron, I don't have to give you proof."
"You are an immature child. Grow the fuck up. You will be lucky to achieve a fraction of what i have."
"you are a stupid fuck who is lazy too."
"Grow up asshole."
"You are such a typical Internet weenie"
"I am a winner who makes my life and those around me better. You sit at home masturbating to pics of little boys."
"You are clearly a shill for the liar, Vic Mignogna"
"He's a pathological liar and a narcissist"
"blah blah blah ...............Go bother someone else who cares about your ill informed opinion"
"Such a great reply. Almost makes me think you are something either[sic] than a smart ass kid who needs to get laid"
"You are an immature child."
"Star Trek: Axanar tries to always be a good citizen. We support all fan films and no one short of James Cawley does more for other projects than we do."
"Elvis impersonators who have a hobby and have always wanted to play Captain Kirk. "
"Peters then said after checking he found Collectible Shipping Service and they were the cheapest. When complaints arose about CSS they claimed they "forgot" their deal with Propworx. A registry search showed CSS 'is' alec peters. Peters charged sales tax to out of state buyers"
"BTW you can tell him I am now going to hire a lawyer and sue him. I am making enough money now to throw away $50,000 on a law suit" (Amazingly, that's about the same amount that the Axanar Kickstarter has taken in.)
"…you are lucky you aren't dead."
"God, where do you people come off with this shit?"
"Nice and mature."
"forgive me if I find this nonsense laughable."
"Oh dude, grow up"
"Keep lying up a storm. axanar is better than you."
"That is total bullshit"
"I have asked my lawyers to file a Cease and Desist against Vic. And we will be filing a defamation lawsuit against him."
"if you want a fan film, then go see a fan film."
"he has such a hard on about axanar"

This is a very small list and there is so very much more being said by the 'we' who have only one rule about everyone being entitled to their own opinion which Mr. Lane says is: Just don't be a dick about it.

Nope. That statement that " Everyone’s entitled to an opinion. Just don’t be a dick about it–that’s the only real rule we have here" is full of holes and doesn't hold water.

But, you know, maybe that rule only applies on that site, and everywhere else is fair game? But if that is the case then why would reading posts elsewhere escalated by frustration and verbal abuse by the 'we' posting elsewhere even be brought up in that blog post.

Nope. I'm calling bs on that blog post.

STAR TREKA Crowdfunded 'Trek' Movie Shoots for the Stars

...
... shaping up to be one of the most ambitious fan-made films around. It’s also one of the few that’s been officially sanctioned by the franchise’s overlords at CBS; Peters has said that he secured permission from the network to move forward, with the understanding that he wouldn’t attempt to profit personally from the production. (emphasis added.)

"Peters has had a lifelong fascination with Garth's story, which came to the forefront after he played the character in a fan production in 2010. He got permission from CBS representatives to go ahead with "Star Trek: The Battle of Axanar" and quickly marshaled actors and production staff to make a cinema-quality project. (The movie is allowed to proceed as long as the filmmakers do not make a profit.)"

So a guy beams onto a barber ship and says, "Alec Peters here?"

Fill in your own punchline.
Schoolyard politics.

Before I came here today, I was thinking about mentioning how this Axanar thing has become a poisonous industry - dedicated legal blogs serving ads and so forth - surrounding a polluted stream, consuming the swill. I was thinking of invoking the term 'mob mentality.' I thought better of it until I ran into the above post.

Little boys, all.

Cheez whiz, I was only hoping someone could think of a punchline. Nobody did, so there's obviously no mob here.
