I personally think it is too much, for example, to be looking at the girlfriend's professional activities and trying to draw inferences about their potential degree of sympathy for Axanar because of 'similarities'. If her relationship to Axanar is social with a staff member, she has the right to be left alone no matter what she does or believes. Not a criticism, please don't take it that way, I just offer my sense of it.

I agree. And just to be clear, this isn't a gendered double standard. I'd say the same thing about Alec's nephews. The fact is, these individuals' relationships and private conduct are tangential to the Axanar scam perpetrated by AP. Alec's public misdeeds are an embarrassment of riches that we're justified in discussing. However, it's none of our business who he takes to the Olive Garden.

I totally agree with you and I'm glad earlier in your post you pointed out that she should at least shoulder some guilt for her part in the mess because, essentially, that was all I was questioning. Personal lives are just that. Let's take the recently departed Terry McIntosh. No matter how odious his online behavior appears to be that would be no justification for any references to his partner (if he has one). But if his partner was the guy or gal responsible for, lets say, refunding unhappy donors and that task simply wasn't happening then he or she would, in my opinion, be justifiably in the firing line.

But I understand mine's a minority view and that's fine and dandy. I hope I haven't annoyed anyone too much

Then I apologise but I found it staggering that this woman was being patronisingly described as "extremely sweet" based on what? Her online persona? Her online image? For all we know this lady is also enjoying benefits derived from the money donated by Star Trek fans. During the short time I've been following this I've noticed a certain level of ire directed at the likes of Peters, Burnett (Meyer Burnett? I'm never sure) et al and yet Miss Kingsbury and now Miss Hubbard often receive a free pass and I find myself wondering if that's down to their gender?

And you do? Seriously, you first believed it would take the Judge a couple of weeks to deliver a ruling on your MTD. It took him less than 24 hours after the hearing was cancelled. You also were sure you’d get some items thrown out with your MTD (you believed the ‘unripe’ claim as to the Axanar feature film not being produced yet would prevail… except it did not.

If anything, although you claim you’re a “lawyer by training”; you come across as a very poor ‘armchair lawyer’ yourself of late – so why you still believe anyone should listen to you with regard to this legal situation is beyond me.
