"Ready to shoot at the end of January" rears its head again. How? They had no cast and we've seen the sets aren't done.
They meant they were ready to shoot for another half-mil via crowd funding.

They misspelt "fevered dream "Maybe mentioned already, but I noticed that this is their description of what Axanar is, from the facebook page:
""Axanar" is a web feature that is the story of Garth of Izar and the Battle of Axanar, one of the pivotal events in the history of the Federation."
So, now they are just calling it a "web feature"?

I think he's referring to the number of firms that he talked to right after the lawsuit was filed. He has since mentioned a second legal team joining for something but never specified. This is weird...
Axanar - multiple firms volunteering to take the case pro-bono, may center around "fair use"
...makes it sound like there are still lawyers vying for the job?
I think they fail on the "operating as a nonprofit" claim historically. The IRS guidelines for filing, https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p4220.pdf, state that among other things, the 501(c)3 organization must "permanently dedicate its assets to exempt purposes".
I have seen no clear indication that they had in 2015 "permanently dedicated" their soundstage or other resources to only exempt purposes.
Suggest people go to here:- https://twitter.com/notanerd this guy was live tweeting the Axanar panel!
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that was just fan art that popped up on the Fan Group recently.
Since AP is touting it as a selling point to buy his "Axanar documentary" DVD, it's a merchandizing tie-in, isn't it?That would make sense if it's meant to be shown as part of a 'documentary' of the FASA/John M. Ford concept of the Four Years War.
Alec of Izar:Maybe I'm just not surprised by the stupidity of Alec Peters anymore... I can't believe with everything going on, he's still showing off Diana and the fact that they're shipping out unauthorized merchandise while the lawsuit is in progress. I know that especially wasn't spelled out directly in the lawsuit, but you don't need to be Albert fucking Einstein to realize "direct financial benefit" can easily be linked to this. Any sane person would shut that shit down ASAP until the lawsuit was done, right?
Alec of Izar:
IP violations, the final frontier. These are voyages of Axanar Works. It's 5 year mission: To infringe on intellectual properties, to seek out fraudulent direct financial benefits, to boldly go where no sane man wants to go in the first place. (cue March of the Stormtroopers music)
Attack of the Clowns? That would be in 'A New Axanar', 'Axanar Strikes Back' or 'Return Of The Axanar' ?
