CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

I still to this day am quite grateful (as I am sure Pavel Chekov is) that Kirk is such an expert marksman. The good admiral basically aims his phaser (set to vaporize!!) right at Chekov's fucking head when he fries the Ceti eel.

This is awesome to me for two reasons:

1) We could easily have wound up with Chekov's smoking head
2) It ties in nicely with Kirk's trolling comment to Khan ("like a poor marksman, you keep... missing... the... target!")

I was skipping over all the OT TWOK comments ... but I had to stop and like this one. :D

Yeah, please don't vote for one; but donating money to one....THAT'S DIFFERENT...:D;)

That was explained when Spock said he had mind-melded with Pike at the moment of his death (earlier in the film) out of curiosity - the effect that had on him, and how gave him a different view and understanding of Human emotions and relationships. I had no issues with it in the film.

You have to admit .. Jay is pretty cute.

I thought that court order was only until February 22nd? How can you make a behind-the-scenes when no actual film is being done?
My understanding is that the stipulation to allow more time to answer was agreed to upon the condition that shooting stop. Once the motion to dismiss was filed, the stipulation expired, as did the agreement to stop shooting.

Surely they won't start shooting now. A part of their argument is that CBS can't claim infringement because no film yet exists. I mean, the last thing you'd want to do is say, "you can't sue us because no movie exists. Here, let us make it for you." No one with sense would do that, right, all?

True, no one with sense. But look who we're talking about.

For those that are on tablets and / or can not otherwise see it, here it is...

Do these guys ever reconcile the fact that they're planning to use their crowdfunded-using-CBS-IP studio for other, non-Trek things?
