Apparently someone got him booted off of Facebook thinking that it would cause the group to shut down. He showed up again a couple of minutes ago.
If that's him. I'm not convinced, TBH (and I hate feeling like that).
@urbandefault - last time, I was able to get the extension on the same day, from PACER. Pacer Monitor may take an extra day as that's the free side of things.
Deadlines. I'm reliving that dream where I'm in college running as fast as I can across campus to get to a professor's office to turn my term paper in on time. I get there one minute late, and the professor is gone with his door shut and locked. (Parenthetically, apropos to nothing, why is it that in dreams like that we are always dressed only in our underwear? What? TMI?)
OK, maybe that's what I remembered.
He showed up a couple of minutes ago after he was added 7 hours ago under the name Robert Knobel 3 hours after he got "suspended"? Does that make sense to you? Or did he know he was going to be suspended, created a fake account 4 hours before that and then comes back 3 hours later to change the name to Eugene Henderson but didn't know the name Robert Knobel would be sticking to his url forever?
Can Michael Cunningham explain the whole "Talked to Eugene. Looks like Charlie got him suspended from Facebook thinking that it would shut down the group"? Because I'm pretty sure the Eugene Henderson at https://www.facebook.com/robert.knobel.129 is not he Eugene he talked to.
Also, that https://www.facebook.com/groups/Axanarfangroup/admins was created 7 hours ago at the exact time Robert Knobel joined https://www.facebook.com/groups/WeStandWithCBS/

Report the offending images to Facebook.
I'm sure Loeb and Loeb can't wait to see #4 on that list. Also #2 smells like BS. The judge will love that a bunch of Trek nerd lawyers are in favor of stealing an IP to make a professional fan film.

well, stalking personal relationships would certainly be uncalled for.
but characterizing all quotes of Axanar leadership on fb as being the acts of obsessive stalker group is another credibility coin spent among the reasonable supporters. eventually everyone notices when that purse has had too many transactions, and reassesses.

That anyone involved, including the lawyers, has a clue how this can come out in such a way that they can make Axanar. I'm sure glad that they have trekkies willing to lawyer for them, though!
do you think he really is just making it all up that his law firm has partners from across the country who want to help with the case? that assertion would burn bridges in the firm and invite reassessment of the risk of having him as a client, if it were not true. The law firm couldn't have their professional reputation affected by being associated so broadly with a case they believed would be seen as cut and dry IP infringement.

It all comes back to what we discussed weeks ago: what the lawyers goal is here, and that we still don't know. If they're just seeking an amicable settlement of any kind, then sure, there may very well be many lawyers lining up to help him reach his favorable settlement.
Note he didn't say "there are Trekkie lawyers lining up who believe I can win this, and want to help me defeat CBS in a trial by jury."
