On what basis is your doubt? Is it because you feel the statement is dubious, and therefore anyone who says it must be dubious? you probably missed it when he was posting here, but Skip is a respectable professional writer on legal matters. have a look at his blog here http://skipoliva.com/ . You won't find blogger tirades, you will find a real careful professional.
which is what people here, without insulting you, are trying to tell you. look at the info itself. try to pry loose of the framework of pat conclusions which you have heard so far and inspect the intellectual content of the arguments. your take will be interesting, but ya gotta look at it and think about it a bit to get the essence of the arugments.

So his announcement is going to prove Skip wrong about things? That should be interesting. I would actually be impressed if he managed to swing something with CBS/Paramount.
On the other hand, he's still lost my support. Guy is a grade A jerk, as evidenced by that post slamming people for hateful rhetoric by using... hateful rhetoric.

Good grief the equvication in that post is ridiculous. Threatening people with violence is wrong. Full stop. You don't have to add anything else. "Skip's blog had an evil agenda and he was the fifth horseman of the Apocalypse and he hate all the orphans in the whole world, but we are better than him and shouldn't stoop to his nasty level."

Yeah I thought that was shitty. Not everyone is perfect in that Facebook group and some have their own agenda but I don't recall anyone stating they were true trek fans and Axanar are not.

Yup. And please don't interpret my "I would be impressed" for actually believing that his announcement will be anywhere close to that earthshattering.
I agree with @SuperSpaceMan -- he probably found a lawyer, and thinks the case is now won.
