It came up on my wife's feed for being posted to the Star Fleet Battles players group page. I did capture and crop it, but it's not on her feed anymore.

EDIT: @MikeH92467 "These are just as valid as the ADB line." <<<<< Was that your editorial comment, or their reply to your question?????

Okay, thanks, MikeH. I don't need to forward that to Steve Cole and crew to know what their reaction would be. Steve's still recovering from surgery, so I don't want to get his blood pressure up.

Just so everyone knows, that opinion, "just as valid as the ADB line", is full of crap. ADB has a long-standing license contract with Franz Joseph Designs, CBS, and Paramount.

As far as I have heard, in the court settlement Axanar was specifically barred from selling merchandise to include licensing it out to a third-party. Correct??

I'm sure that's in a document dump somewhere along the line, but I'm not interested in looking it up. I would think the designer would be involved if they wanted to do everything on the up and up...ok, stop laughing.

They are licensed with the Axanar folks,
Heh...yeah. That and a buck-oh-five will get you a cup of coffee at 7-11.
Don't you mean Axanar Coffee...oh...wait... ;)

:guffaw::guffaw:

Genuinely not sure if they're being deliberately misleading or of they're really as stupid as that makes them seem.
Um..they are STILL working with Alec peters even AFTER the lawsuit and settlement (aspects of said settlement Mr. Peters and Co. seem to be ignoring) - so yeah, not the brightest bulbs involved here.

I've met people who have totally bought into the narrative "CBS is picking on fan films" (plural) and "CBS are corporate bullies that need to be put in their place" and "CBS knew they were going to lose so they settled". I presume the people who are selling Axanar swag for him belong to one or more of these groups.

Anyone want to take bets or get the over/under on when these idiots get a C&D.....??

Hey, if you think Batman 60s camera angles isn't try-hard, then we're on two different wavelengths.
You mean "Dutch angles," used for decades before Batman in German expressionist films, The Third Man, in more recent movies like Thor, and countless other films?

If you are a part of the AxaMonitor Facebook group... this would be a lovely screencap to share. :)

Ditto to you @MikeH92467 - a screen cap of that email would be a nice item for the AxaMonitor collection.

To be honest, it was career suicide for anyone with professional Trek aspirations/careers to be involved with any fanfilm, let alone one trying to raise the kind of money Axanar did. Seriously.

You would think common sense would've told them that.

Common Sense, isn't all that common...
More so when dealing w/ LFIM & Company...
let's see... 70 more pages to go, eh ?
;-)
