It's says it all about the guy as an actor that we all remember how cool he was as Soval despite him only appearing in 12 episodes (I think) on Enterprise. Not easy to own a role like that in a relatively short space of time, I think.

But now I'm going to be that guy and posit the theory that this may suit AP down to the ground. I've no idea if Graham was still listed as a cast member but don't be surprised there's now a tonne of scenes that need to be rewritten after his (unquestionably sad) passing.

IIRC, Graham never intended to film another scene for the project. So, that would be a no, don't think so.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of '24

The final Axanar shoot has now happened.
I remember the last time they said that... then the footage was "unusable" or some such nonsense.

I wonder how much of Alec's BS the American mystery school cult are going to be willing to swallow, and how much of a propaganda piece the final film will be.

and how much of a propaganda piece the final film will be.
You mean propaganda for the Sky Knights or whoever they are? I never thought of that.

Fuck it, I’ll definitely watch it if it’s full of all that pseudo-spiritual bullshit. Might actually be more interesting than whatever Peters and his usual band of freaks and losers had planned.

I won't post the link, I can't remember if the Mods frown on that or not, but I just read a pretty disturbing article about the organisation Axanar, Peters and his b*****s are no in bed with. Figuratively and actually possibly.

It's pretty depressing stuff and, as we know Peters likes the kink and in particular the dominating women kink, I wonder if there's some sordid stories still to come out from Axanar, even if it is finally almost soon to be finished?

I've always felt that what a person (or consenting adults) do in their private lives are of no concern to me and should not change how I view their public/professional works. There are actors and singers who I dislike their life style, but that doesn't keep me from enjoying watching their movies / listening to their song.

Ergo, whatever Alec may or may not do in the bedroom has ZERO bearing on how I view the entire Axanar saga.

Oh, and by the way ... next time, could you pick a nicer way to describe his female companions?? Nobody will ever accuse me of being "woke" but even I find that term most offensive.

I'm the same, providing its done with consent. I'd never judge anybody on their private life, go get your rocks off however you wish.

But if you find the article I read, it's on the Axamonitor FB page, it mentions behaviour that I believe we should judge harshly (I don't know you, maybe you wouldn't). And I get separating art from artist but I, personally, feel there's limits. Growing up, Stephen Patrick Morrissey wrote lyrics that kept me going through not-happy times and whilst I can still listen to The Smiths today it's definitely soured by some of Morrisseys opinions today. But, perhaps, if I was also a bit of a bigot I wouldn't mind so much.

Finally, I genuinely apologise if that B word offended you, but I wasn't targeting women with it use.

That he's in bed with an actual, real life cult to make his movie says all you need to know about Alec Peters' character.

Having watched the Vice video too:

I can't wait until they're recording their "spaceship" videos on the Axanar bridge.

So here's what I read. And if you read this and you're still of the view it doesn't affect your enjoyment of the finished product, it doesn't matter where the funds come from providing Axanar is a decent fanfilm, and it doesn't matter what bedfellows Peters chooses to associate with the I very politely suggest you have a fucking word with yourself.

I'm out.

Keep on target.......Axanar.......Peters........this is spiraling. Facts.....fan films.....ya know, what this forum is supposed to be about.

Surely information about who's behind the fan film is just as relevant as the film itself? If Paramount were doing the same, the other forums would be reacting in a very similar way. If a Trek author were a cult member or similar it would be an issue of discussion in the lit forum.

Seriously?

You're suggesting this information is 'off target'? What on earth are you talking about?

I have to conclude you're OK with it then? That, yes, this is acceptable providing there's a fanfilm produced at the end of it? A fan film.

That's an incredibly disappointing opinion from a Moderator, unless you're involved too?

Ban me, block me, comments to pm me, do what you like.

So much of the Axanar saga has been about the money that stories about a cult providing money to the production don't seem out of bounds to me. I understand why, early on, fans donated. I don't understand why Paul Jenkins got involved when any sensible person should have seen what he was walking into at that time. And I don't know why a cult leader would invest or donate to Axanar now.
