This sounds like wishful thinking to me. Is the lawsuit really that broad that he can go after the financials for the original kickstarter? I would think that would require a fishing expedition that the court wouldn’t tolerate — or is the lawsuit broader than I think?

I would love to know the truth, just…. I guess I really don’t want to get my hopes up here.
He could use the broad discovery definitions to obtain additional information as proof of why he participated and the inaccurate information used by Peters' to recruit him.

I'm not really into shaming peoples private preferences providing they pay for it themselves. If they don't, like this freak hasn't, then it's fair game to be called out, the creepy little bastard.

Fuck me, if he had a fraction of the intelligence his sycophants* claim he has he could've released some form of Axanar and still been able to pocket some cash to spend at 'Drilldos4U' or wherever. Buy himself a nice new Jackhammer Johnson.

*Considering how into all the master and slave stuff he is I wonder just how much he enjoys the online adulation from these fellow old guys. Maybe they enjoy it too. Maybe when people wonder why they still follow Peters they're missing what's right in front of them and they're getting off on it as much as he is.

Just a thought. Happy New Year.

Well, so some of the Axanar financials are out on PDFs on Facebook.

It's like our visionary and fearless leader Alec/Garth always said, 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 2024 will be the year of Axanar!

Watched this last night. Amazing that anyone can defend Alec at this point. I do wonder why his inner circle have such Trump-like fanaticism. Either they're being paid, are really that stupid or they're his manslaves.

Besides Alec Peters being a sociopath, the thing that bothers me about Axanar is (like a lot of post-60's Trek) its focus on Star Fleet as an offensive military force. I prefer peacefully seeking out new life in pajamas.

Look up sunk cost fallacy. People do not like being wrong, nor do they always engage in reflection when told the big bad evil corporation is stopping the vision. Couple that with a feeling of disenfranchisement from their favorite fictional series and that no one respects it and I can see the persuasive power until they're in too deep.

Again, look at the Financials. This was not a small project.

You can call them stupid all you want but the behavior is very understandable, and very human, and we're all susceptible to it.

NOPE!!!!

I strongly disagree.
You don't think we're all susceptible to being influenced by others, especially regarding passionate subjects like fandom? :vulcan:

Humans nowadays are not encouraged to be self-reflective. We want what we want and grab on to it.

I'm coming round to the idea that there's actually something to that with these guys. A while back I also thought they were being benefitted financially but, if they ever were, theres no money left now. But knowing what Peters is into in his private life I'd say the balance of probability swings, pun intended, to those guys being into it too.

It's not my scene but whatever makes you happy, they're all adults after all, so go get your rocks off lads.

But Peters uses Star Trek fans' money to fund his sexual proclivities and the majority of observers would say that was wrong..... unless they had the same tastes perhaps?

Of course everyone is subject to be influenced by others, but in most people (at least with the people I know and associate with) there is an internal moral compass that precludes the kind of madness seen with AP.

So it makes them less susceptible not immune.

I would never take for granted the idea that I can never be taken in. Never mind the ego and difficulty in admitting being taken in a con.

This didn't start as madness.
