I wasn't refuting you, I just have a different opinion and outlook on life and people than you do, obviously.

The outlook that people have a moral compass are less likely to fall for cons I don't contend. It makes them less susceptible but not immune, but I doubt the people who joined in with Axanar, especially initially, were bereft of a moral compass. Just that a value overrode more rational decision making.

Like humans will often do. If your moral compass is so superior I would encourage you to teach others to avoid such situations.

Has Peters given any explanation yet on what the 475K withdrawal from the Axanar account was for?

Even for a dirtbag like Alec, it's hard to imagine he'd be that blatant with his fraud.

He may well claim it was personal expenses. In Axanar Podcast #71 he admitted to co-mingling donor and personal funds in the Axanar bank account, even thought that's something he vehemently denied doing a few years ago.

Snow silently floating down from the heavens, Loggins and Messina on the turntable and the cat staying warm by the fire.
Still I can't help but think, "even the lack of negative acknowledgment might stab at the heart of a glory hound."

But knowing what Peters is into in his private life...
As I only look in on this thread every couple of months, if there's been activity, when (and why) did this become part of the discussion?

Again, and perhaps more relevantly, what is this about? I've lost track of the financial shenanigans!

True, but what's the 475K withdrawal all about? Was this recently?
Axanar Production's bank account statements have been published online.

Surprise! Tons of transactions on the account have nothing to do with producing an actual movie. There's purchases for dating websites, sex shops, Warhammer stuff, memorabilia, an eye doctor, supplements and so on and so on.

Essentially Peters was using money raised via the kickstarter campaign as his own personal funds.

The biggest transaction on the account was a withdrawal for 475K. No one knows where that money went.

A bank service fee of $60 per month?? Seriously, what type of account charges that much in service fees????

Wait…. How can ANYONE make a cash withdrawal for $475K??? I took only a couple thousand last year and they looked at me like I was starting a fucking bank run! Banks are really funny these days (and not in a good way) about big pulls like that. Withdrawals over $10K fire off all kinds of red flags with the IRS and the Fed. Getting out nearly a half-million, though??? I mean it sounds like someone just bought a house or some random custom-painted Aston Martin without taking out a loan. Can’t think of any other reason to be walking around with that kind of coin in one’s back pocket.
