What's your source for that? I'm sure I've seen it somewhere, but I couldn't track it down last time I looked? It's the only actual evidence for at least limited use of a 5 or 6-star rank in Starfleet (Unlike during the TNG era, Commodore appears to be a proper rank, presumably roughly corresponding to 1-star Brigadier-General).

Wow, Alec is really picky about how that symbol looks, especially for a movie he's technically not even involved with.
It's obvious that the Interlude thing is a way to tell more Axa-story (as if), without AP having to blatantly piss on the settlement agreement. Of course, if anything ever gets released it will be a miracle.

Yeah today's Axamonitor newsletter I think is the one most observers will have been waiting for. I'm guessing the fact Alec's been finally moving towards that $200k "crowdfunding" has kicked things off, as I think plenty of people would argue he's been skirting (what we know of) the settlement for a while, and getting increasingly blatant about it. I assume it just hit the point where it was worth doing something about.
On the plus side for Alec, I expect CBS wrath will at least save him actually having to try and pretend to make these new shorts for the next several years. If he's found breaching the original settlement, surely CBS will just clean him out this time and Axanar will be out of second chances?
What this'll mean for Interlude will be interesting. Allowing it to be made while the main project dies would be somewhat amusing, but I don't think there's any reason for it to be shut down is there? I would assume CBS are keeping a beady eye on it however, given Alec's involvement.
As for the coffee shop, did anyone actually believe Alec wasn't behind it? From the article, its a shame, as the venue was obviously doing ok and had some regular customers who valued the place, not to mention the investments of those involved. Sadly with Alec involved, history does have a habit of repeating itself.

I love it! I absolutely love how, after the lawsuit ended in a settlement that was as favorable as Alec could've hoped for, he was still pathologically unable to avoid pulling down his pants, taking a giant dump into his own hat, and then plopping it proudly onto his head!
We give the man a lot of crap on here, but the truth is that he's provided us with way more entertainment by not making a movie than he ever would have if he'd just made Axanar in a rational way.
