For a minute there I thought he was in support of endless Gofundme and kickstarters to fund some body else's hobby.
Beer is a different story.

Apparently Midnight's Edge is doing the same. Given how much they apparently hate Star Trek, why would anyone pay for them to go to STLV?
Common misconception. They don't hate Star Trek, period. They hate the Star Trek shat out by the current crop of creators. So do I.

I can respect anyone's opinion until you start ranting everywhere about it, like it is more than a make believe TV show and dislike me because I actually enjoy it. At that point you can go fuck yourself.
Fair enough, but it seems to me that there's an easy way to avoid dealing with the rants and the begging: stop listening to them. Yet there's like a whole thread up there dedicated to people who can't stand ME listening anyway just so they can complain, and you brought Mecharandom42 up again in this thread. I know why I listen to them. Why are people who obviously have no use for them continuing to drive themselves crazy with them?

I don't listen to them---but I cannot stand people scamming folks out of money and spreading fake news just to spread hate.

Why do people listen to them? That's the part that confuses me. I don't need to listen to someone who hates something to know that I hate it.

spreading fake news just to spread hate.
It's not fake news. It's propaganda, at best, and deliberate misinformation at worst.

Well, if it makes you feel any better they haven't gotten any of my cash. I only waste my hard-earned money on my own trivial pursuits.

{sigh} They have the Klingon firing a photon torpedo out of the main deflector dish. {sigh} Don't they know Klingon used Disruptors mounted on the front of the warp engine nacelles??
It's an Axaverse Pe'ters class Klingon ship.

I'm pretty sure that is the photon torpedo launcher, it's the same part of the ship that was glowing when Gorkon's ship was threatening to fire on the Enterprise in The Undiscovered Country.

I don't care what they did in the movies or TNG+. If you go back and watch ST:TOS/TAS, you'll see that Klingon's are armed with Disruptors. They did --NOT-- have photons during that era!!!!
Lack of evidence isn't evidence. We only know what we DID see them fire, and I don't recall anyone identifying what the ship-fired blasts were or that they were their only weapons.

Mike Bawden donated to Interlude which is now over $3000. Not sure if it is the Mike Bawden:

It is. Here's his explanation, posted in the AxaMonitor Facebook group:

Well, it may not be the popular opinion here, but I'm going to support Jonathan's fan film effort. Although I think it's a mistake to tie it so closely to the Axanar project, I personally like Jonathan and am willing to support any fan endeavor that comes from a place of love and admiration for the source material (and, I've supported quite a few of those kinds of projects on KS, IGG and GFM).

You may not like what Jonathan writes - and heaven knows I've encouraged him to back away from all of this brouhaha and focus on fan films of all franchises made by the people who love them - he is a good person, a good husband and a good father. I've met his wife, Wendy, and their son Jayden. And they're all good people.

It's unfortunate these things get so personal - especially when it comes to Wendy and Jayden.

Who knows, at the current pace of funding, Jonathan may have no alternative but to re-boot his production so it takes place in some other Star Trek reality other than the "Axanar Universe" - but I think he deserves the chance to try.
