So are there any pics of Axacon in all its glory? Meet and greets, autograph signings, photo ops?

The only thing I fast-forwarded through was just AP and Gary Graham on a cell phone video. Did Hertzler show up? How many attendees? I've not seen His Majesty boasting of Axacon's success.

Pray tell, citizens, what news?
Pictures can be found here:

Hertzler did attend. According to Jonathan Lane 30 to 40 people attended, but I get the impression that they were counting staff (guests) as well as attendees.
"Axacon was never meant to have tons of attendees. The 30-40 people who showed up over the three days was about what ALEC PETERS had expected. In fact, there were only about three dozen chairs in the Axacon panel room…a larger turnout wouldn’t have had a place to sit down!" - Jonathan Lane

Did anyone from this forum go?
What about @carlosp, did you attend? :shifty:

That appears to be Carlos on the far right of the picture.
Yep, and Alec had banned him :guffaw:
Carlos,

We note you attempted to buy a ticket to Axacon. Your ticket is being refunded. You are on notice that you, or any current or former member of the Axamonitor Facebook group that attempts to enter the Axacon facility, will be asked to leave. As Axacon is meant to celebrate and support the Axanar project, those who have shown repeated animosity, negativity, and antagonism toward Axanar Productions, its team members, myself, and guests of the convention are not welcome to attend.

A former Georgia Sheriff’s Deputy is in charge of security and local law enforcement will be notified before the event that we have had an issue with stalkers and will be prepared to respond if you or any of your fellow stalkers attempt to attend. The hotel will also be notified in advance.

It is very clear that, like your blog, your only intention is to make trouble.

It didn't stop him from attending the Axanar panels at the convention itself. He just wasn't allowed at OWC Studios, as I understand it. In fact, I've been told he was even invited to serve as a panelist.

@carlosp has been very quiet as of late. He tells me he is busy with real life stuff, I think LFIM bought him off with sushi and domestic beer!

The horror! He should have held out for imported beer.

(But for the record: I don't drink beer.)

Actually, he was forbidden from attending any Axanar panels at all!
However, since Axacon was itself being hosted within another convention (SphinxCon) there was nothing Alec could do to prevent Carlos attending the main convention and any shared panels that were open to SphinxCon guests as well.
In the end, Alec relaxed this ban for the final panel on the final day (a quiz of some sort), which is where that photo of Carlos was taken

Another production update video posted on the youtube channel. The TL;DW is that they're powering the monitors with Raspberry Pi's instead of desktop computers and changing the lighting to LED to cut down the power load. I like that they're providing regular updates for now and hope it continues.

Sadly, this update reveals they are doing nothing towards any of their stated pre-production goals for Axanar Lite. Instead they are occasionally working on a bridge set that may at some point be of use to someone.
A noble effort, indeed.

In other words, just spending more money. :techman:

In other words week 95 still not filming Axanar.

I will say that I like the bridge design and the graphics for their computer displays. I hope they do not go to overheard with things that move around. The static displays look nice.
