New on AxaMonitor: Contradictions are piling up in Alec Peters' Patreon pitch to keep his Georgia warehouse afloat. And where did Axanar's biggest cheerleader, OWC's CEO Larry O'Connor, go? His name is missing from Peters' explanation for why the tech company pulled out of its sponsorship of Peters' "studio." What we learned from Peters' new 'Axanar Confidential' livestream on YouTube (which he's now monetizing for guess how much per month?) Read more »

Now this could get uglier...

The two directors who failed to actually deliver the work they promised? Why do you think Gossett left? He couldnt do the work. He didn't even do half the work a director is supposed to do on Prelude to Axanar & Rob had to pick up his slack. Rob failed to deliver "Origns"
The directors failed to deliver what they promised???

Again, the stones! I wish mine were that cast iron!

Absolutely it's the directors' fault.

Just wait for the tweet about non-fulfillment of the patch perks. Totally the ex's fault. :techman:

WHERE'S THE MOVIE, ALEC?

I love how he’s happy to list the people that have failed to deliver like that’s not establishing a pattern as to why these people keep walking away.

(I mean obviously it’s nonsense anyway, but continuing to point out the issues in his own production team isn’t exactly smart or professional).

On a side note, is the claim about Gossett true? In his videos on Axanar I haven't heard RMB say he did most of the work on Prelude. I know he was editor on it, but have never heard someone say the editor really made the film.

I don’t think it’s true, since Gossett was the initial director for the feature, he resigned due to concerns over mismanagement of the donated funds. If true, one would assume that Burnett would have been named director from the beginning.

Reminds me of a certain Commander-in-chief.

Of course it's not true. This is the Alec Peters' pattern. When you're with him, he publicly sings yours praises; when you leave, he makes up stories about how awful you were to work with. Terry McIntosh, Christian Gossett, Rob Burnett — wash, rinse, repeat.

Peters also returned to the narrative he debunked himself, that it was cheaper to build his own studio than to rent one, so that's why he spent nearly a quarter-million dollars on a facility in which not a single frame of the film he never made was ever shot. His own press secretary, Jonathan Lane, debunked this himself, and Peters himself admitted that it was a mistake at a panel discussion almost three years ago.

Peters also says if he hadn't listened to Christian, he would've chosen a cheaper warehouse much farther away from Los Angeles. Christian has posted photos of this place — it was utterly unusable. Peters' thinking otherwise is just more proof of his filmmaking acumen.
