Oh, no. Alec has his shorts on. What he need to do is change into big-boy pants, own up to his mistakes, stop blaming everyone else for his failures, and make a *bleep*ing movie. At this point, I don't care if it's Trek or something else (wasn't his girlfriend doing a Wonder Woman film??), just make something so we can tell if he's as good as what his claims are.So we start another year, and still no damn movie or shorts or whatever.

Also, I honestly don't see the two as being related. The IP holders wanted to do something fun and inexpensive to tide fans over between the production of flat-out series. The Farthest Star and Runaway have both proven to be very closely connected to the series (as is the one with the two girls and the attack on Mars -- I am completely blanking on the name for that one). No, but it was a great way to demonstrate to fandom that 15 minutes was plenty of time for a "Star Trek" story to play out and still be "Star Trek".
I'm sure you could improve on a better screenplay than using that leaked script. How funny it would be you complete that idea, with an inspired narrative and have it wrapped and done for streaming before Axanar? Something that is looking less Star Trek every time I see new content.I'm telling you guys, we need to do an "Our Axanar Remake" (à la Our Robocop Remake) using the leaked script, footage, et cetera, but release it before Axanar comes out.![]()
I wouldn't touch that leaked script to put it in a paper shredder. Birdcage lining, maybe.I'm telling you guys, we need to do an "Our Axanar Remake" (à la Our Robocop Remake) using the leaked script, footage, et cetera, but release it before Axanar comes out.![]()
Alec Peters couldn't pursue such a lawsuit, as he would be asserting legal copyright over something 'Axanar'; and doing so would place him in immediate, and very public facimg violation of the Axanar lawsuit settlement between himself his company and CBS/Paramount; and thus open himself up to CBS/Paramount invoking any sanctions and remedies for such violations listed in that settlement agreement.Any fan film with the name "Axanar" would get a lot of publicity and traffic, due to the infamy of Peters' unending clusterfudge.
Of course, the people behind it would have to contend with the possibility of frivolous lawsuits, likely botched badly enough in execution to be worthless like the one against RMB. But it would still be a concern to some.
