Every time I see this topic reawakened I paraphrase Simon & Garfunkle, "[It's] just a habit. Like saccharin".

Where there is light, there will be shadow. If there is a Yin, there is a Yang. As long as Axanar has its detractors, it will also have its supporters. So long as the supporters sense your hatred, they will rally. Alec cannot play the victim if there's no one to cast as the perpetrator. "Live free, don't join."

The bridge does look like it's been considerably improved with more unique graphics on all the screens, as opposed to the same small handful of graphics repeated everywhere. Their set designers are doing a reasonably good job there, at least.

The shots of AP glaring intently into the camera is a bit unnerving though...

Not sure what to make of the uniforms. Going for something like DISCO's?

They’re horribly tailored and the collar opening is way too big. I like the black side panel, but aside from that there’s absolutely zero interesting about them at all.

Wait, are they still filming during the pandemic, with everybody close together and face to face with no masks?
That's not just unnerving, it's downright terrifying.

No, they finished filming a few months ago, before the lockdown.

You might be right about the tailoring, but I think the uniform overall needs a stiffer fabric as well. The more seams you have, the better your tailor has to be.

The collar would work if there was more structure to it. It looks like they're trying to do Number One's collar from "The Cage", but that collar is the same color as the primary tunic color, not black. Even then, though, I didn't care for that frumpy collar (although, to be fair, the Axanar version is slightly more tidy).

Not to go off topic but give me credible sound production, actors that can deliver a line, a score that doesn't blast trumpets over dialog, a camera person that can frame a shot, vfx, lighting, sets, an enjoyable story based on more than a few words from a sixties style script and the cut of the collar is the last detail I'm concerned about.

Actually, this got me interested in what microphones they're using, but it's so difficult to tell that the only mic I can say for sure that they're using is a Blue Yeti. One microphone looks suspiciously like a Sennheiser MKE 600, but the others are almost entirely covered by windscreens. Anyone know what mics they're using?

Until we see something that meets those standards, Axanar's track record doesn't work in their favor when it comes to making judgments on incomplete data.

OK, the way the post was written made it sound like this is all going on right now.

He’s filmed it, which is more than most of us thought he’d do.

Considering the pandemic, is this the best time to chastise someone for not finishing principle photography?
