CBS 2009-2010 schedule announced

CSI: Miami - 8th season Yes! Great!
Cold Case - 7th season Hmmm...OK
CSI: NY - 6th season Yes!
NCIS - 7th season Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you I thank you! :techman:

CBS cancelled two shows - Without a Trace and Eleventh Hour - that averaged over 11 million viewers this season. Only CBS is in a position to do such a thing.

WTF?! CBS cancelled Without a Trace?! They're making such horrible decision to cancelled the best show on CBS!! Pathetic, if you ask me!

What?

I don't believe it! Without A Trace cancelled! That show is good! How can they cancel that one?

Glad NCIS is coming back..love that show! I'm not so sure about it's spin-off but I'm willing to give it a try. :)

Me too! It will probably show up here in Europe too.

But I don't think that it will be as good as the original NCIS.

I believe their official explanation for that one is that it had gotten too expensive to produce, despite the solid ratings, so they let it go.

Money money money.

Networks rather have cheap shows with a few people watching than expensive shows with loads of people watching.

I see they killed off The Unit with 9.6 million viewers after putting it in the worst time slot available. It still did better than a lot of other shows that didn't get cancelled.

It was low enough on the CBS index that cancellation comes as no surprise. CBS is more successful and has higher standards than other networks. Plenty of shows on CBS's lineup did better than it, yet still got the axe. Of the other low-index shows that were renewed, Flashpoint is very cheaply made; Christine apparently has a cheap license fee;and Numb3rs is on Friday where nobody expects miracles.

So running at 10PM Sunday evening, bedtime for a lot is a preferred time slot? I think it would have done better on Friday evening than preempted by every awards ceremony and sporting event on Sunday night. Way too many nights it started better than 1/2 hour late. Just my .02 cents.

The point of TV shows is too make money. Would you continue working somewhere if they stopped paying you? Or even better if they made you pay them to work for them?

Yes!! HIMYM is renewed!!!

Umm.... duh... it wasn't even a bubble show this season.

Nice to see your still making friends ;) not everyone am sure on this board keeps up with all the TV news/gossip threads so no need to be snippy.

As for CBS, really NCIS LA...its the dam CSI franchise all over again.
so what is the CSI version of JAG then? and where is NCIS: Miami?

I honestly don't get the NCIS buzz. I like Mark Harmon, but beyond that I can't see any redeeming qualities to the show. I didn't like JAG either.

CBS just are the Crime Network.

and where is NCIS: Miami?

"Ducky, it looks like this petty officer escaped one war in Afghanistan... (puts on sunglasses) ...only to find another war at home."

YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to see a NCIS, CSI Miami crossover, or just NCIS doing an episode set in Miami that spoofs CSI Mimai a bit

No reason to be snippy. :p

Him and the crazy woman are the only reason to watch the show. I hope the spinoff fails hard.
