The blonde woman is Monet Mazur, who played Castle's agent (who I believe was also one of his ex-wives) in the pilot episode. It appears that she was originally intended as a regular, since she was listed that way in early publicity, but evidently they decided not to keep her around after the pilot.

I would guess that the fellow on the far right was originally cast as Det. Ryan but was replaced by Seamus Dever before the pilot was aired. I can't find any photo captions that identify the man, though.

I thought the episode was a good start to a new season. I enjoy the interaction between Castle and Beckett.

Castle can be a bit impetuous, so Castle having to face the consequences of those actions when they hurt others was a good point for his character development.

Its also nice to see a good father/daughter relationship portrayed.

Looking forward to next week's episode.

Molly C. Quinn is looking cuter than ever

Anyone notice a couple things that are different about this original cast promo pic:

Other than the crappy photoshop composite -- yeah. The blonde is gone. And who's the guy on the right?

I have to say -- I *adore* Molly Quinn. If I ever had a daughter, I'd want her to be JUST like the character she portrays.

As for the non-character aspects... I *adore* Molly Quinn. And I feel a bit... grungy... for that.

Glad to see that Castle has finally started on Aust TV. Enjoyed the episode and it was nice to see the characters again gave it an above average.
