I don't think that should be a stumbling block. Whole different franchise, and it's not like actors need to be confined to one high-profile genre role apiece. If Walter Koenig can do Trek and Babylon-5, I'm sure Cobie Smulders can do Trek and Marvel.

Heck, as far as back as the 1960s, Trek shared guest-stars with BATMAN: Frank Gorshin, Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, etc. (A shame we never got Burgess Meredith on TOS.)

It's not like Smulders has a lot to do in the MCU at the moment. Her last guest appearance on AoS was in season 2, I believe and her movie appearances seem to be the tag scenes nowadays (and even those not for every movie)

Hmm. One of my friends looks and sounds so close to Majel, she could play her in a biopic. Just two problems:
1. She's a cleric (specifically, a United Methodist Elder), not an actress.
2. She looks and sounds like Majel did as Lwaxana Troi, not as Pike's exec, nor as Chapel.

I can't say I see the resemblance, but that's where the magic of the make up departement comes into place, I guess. as an actor, RR is a solid choice. and that's the second former Bond girl in DSC. I sense a pattern there..


just...just don't cast Denise Richards in season 3

Wow...they actually cast a gorgeous actress in this role. Big fan of hers.

Gotta say, I'm loving the casting of Mount and Rebecca so far. Makes me confident in the casting of Spock.
