Casting a Gender-Switched Enterprise

After much anguish and weighty deliberation ... I have decided to cast Shoshannah Stern as "Gem," the Empath:

 

If I were changing the gender of some of the crew I think I would change Pike, Sulu and Scotty.

 

Not a bad idea, really ... Demura Sulu was CUTE!!! And what a sweetheart, too! Undoubtedly, she had a good, Catholic upbringing.

 

well i know the IDW ongoing Star Trek comic are doing a two issue arc where the JJ Abrams crew meets their counterparts and the characters are gender switched so i guess we'll see how it's played out next month.

 

Can't wait to see the pictures of this.

I wonder if by girl and girl crew are going to meet. Be still my beating heart. I wonder if Boy Kirk will try to chat up Girl Bones or better still Girl Spock? That would be a fangirl's dream.
