I liked Jill Wagner on Blade and in those Mercury commercials but she sucked! as Larryn.
Vin Diesel on some semi-serious, kick-ass, crazy sci fi TV series would be a fun idea. I doubt he'd do it, but we can always dream.
I like him playing against type, like his crusty-but-decent doc on Deadwood. I'm make him the scary-smart commander of the expedition or maybe a clever, if slippery, Tok'ra ally.
And what's with all the Lake Bell hate in this thread. Just for that, she's the star of the show, so there.
Okay forget her. Let's steal Clea Duvall from Virtuality instead, since that show is DOA for sure.
More ideas: Charlie Day, from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, would be great as a kick-ass soldier type with a Napoleon complex or perhaps he can be the Tok'ra if Dourif isn't.
And Freddy Rodriguez from Planet Terror, but once again, cast him against type. He gets to be the science nerd or the ship's doctor.
My first thought when I saw "Whispers" was that this was a tryout of the female soldier lead for SG:U.
I'd like to see Nicole DeBoer in a regular series again.
And I'd love to see Beckett in a regular slot again. Funny, besides Sheppard, McKay and Beckett, I really don't have an emotional investment in most of the characters. Well, Ronon is in there too, mainly because every time he says, "this is going to be trouble, we should kill them now ..." he turns out to be right.
I'd love to see the writers have the guts to play that out in an episode ... just once he points it out, they listen to him and they kill off a threat quickly. Then they'd have to deal with the moral implications of that.
I just want to hear her intensely shout, "It's ASTRONOMICAL!" again.
You know, I really like the idea of the SG babe team from Whispers showing up on the Destiny.

...mainly the difficulty is that I can't think of actors under 25 or so that I find interesting or think are talented. Any suggestions, cuz I'm drawing a blank here. But once you get on up in years, there are dozens of great candidates.
