cast Stargate: Universe

For a scientist type -- Elizabeth Rosen => Jennifer Haley, "The Prodigy"... she should have enough experience to lead a team, or at least the scientific part....kinda like an early Sam Carter .

As smart as she supposedly was...it's about time to do something with that!

Also, Ken Leung would be great...i would expect a Miles Straum character, but i'd love to see whatever they throw at him. It would be refreshing to see an actual Asian as a regular! Asians have barely been recurring characters!

Jaime Ray Newman (Lt. Laura Cadman) definitely

Another good choice. I was trying to remember her name.

Hey, I heard that Michael Rosenbaum was going to be in Stargate: Universe!

We should be so lucky. :D

I suspect that anyone who's made a splash on The Sopranos and Lost would turn his nose up at SG:U, but sure, if they could get him. I definitely would not have him be a squirrely little weirdo like his other roles or anything science-nerdy. I'd like to see him as a military bad-ass.

Another Asian actor who might be more SG:U's speed is Reggie Lee, that guy who played the creepy villain on Prison Break. It wasn't much of a role, but I got the definite impression he was capable of a lot more. I wonder if he'd be good for the lead role, in fact.

I posted on TWoP that Ellen Muth from Dead Like Me would make a good, eye-roll in the face of danger, Air Force Lieutenant.

The leader should be a hard/bad ass type. Let the jokey guy be his number two. So make Tony Todd the expedition leader.

Its a shame Mark harmon and Micheal Weatherly are on NCIS or they could be long lost brothers of Jack and Daniel;)

I would love to see a Tok'ra on board. I was hoping Atlantis would have a Tok'ra on Sheps team.

Damn, I just found this thread and was hoping I'd be the first to say this. I'd love to see her on this show.

I'm not really sure who else should be in this. I say Leah Cairns as Wiseass Military and Elisabeth Rosen as Tech/Physics Guru Captain Hailey. I can't really think of anyone else to play other military/science/Ancient AIs or whatever else should be included.

Tony Todd's a good pick.

Rejigger the Tok'ra society so they aren't dying anymore and having a Tok'ra character could add something interesting to the show. Being a dying species makes it hard to invest in any single character but if they're on the upswing, that adds inherent conflict.

It would also be a handy way to shoehorn an existing actor into the new show, such as Ben Browder, while having him play a different character.

I wouldn't mind a female lead - my dream pick is Carla Gugino.

I would also go with Carlo Gugino. In fact hear is my entire cast and even character descriptions.

1 Gugino=Air Force cornell that has limted telepathy. She was part of a medical experiment when the stargate team she was in charge was captured on a alien planet. She is smart, tough but a little insane at times. Has a sense of humor like O'Neil and other stargate characters only with her it can be a little morbid at times.

2 the actress from angel who played Fred. She would be a shy but brilliant engineer. Basically she would be the one who figures out how the ship works and makes repairs and whatnot.

3 Young Jack O'Neil clone=He would be a young officer like Ford only with years of experience because of the memories he has from O'Neil.

4 A replicator who has been living on the ship for years trying to ascend. He would be a spirtual type of person but also a brilliant scientist who agrees to help the humans but he won't kill under any situation.

5 A British military solider=The guy is basically the Tea'c of the show. Kick-ass type but with a more british sense of humor to him than you see on Stargate.

JAson

Amy Acker (the actress who plays Fred on Angel) is a beautiful goddess and I will gladly support anything she's on.

And I think it would be cool to see the Jack O'Neill clone again. And Jennifer Haley.

I dunno about that. Doctor Who seems to have gotten a lot of mileage in recent years out of making the Doctor the last of the Time Lords.

I'm not gonna try to give them assignments on the show, but my cast ideas

Ron Glass
Stephanie Jacobsen
Mark Sheppard

and

wait for it

Jean Reno!!
