Captain Picard Reacts To Star Trek: Discovery (parody)

I don't know if he has seen it, or if he even cares (as I don't think he was ever a big Trek fan). He may have seen an episode or two since just to get in his head the current style and so he can better interact with fans at cons (or out of curiosity).

If according to you he really wasn't that big a fan of the franchise, why the frak did agree to come back as Picard for this new show? He should've stuck to his eariler stance and have been done with Star Trek.

As for this video, it's the same hateful kind of shit as the Star Wars video I posted a few day ago, and the same question I was asked, I'll ask-why do people keep on posting these videos? Who gives (or should give) a fuck about what some butthurt (male) neocon (possibily Trumpanzee) fans thinks about Discovery?

Calm down, man. I'm a huge fan of Discovery, if you'd bothered to look at my posts, and am looking forward to the new show. I'm not the guy who made this video (GeneralGrin, who isn't American).

It's just a joke. I thought it was funny, and it could have been about any series, not just Discovery. Breathe.

You can enjoy your experience on a show without being a close follower of every aspect of the franchise itself. That's all that was being said in the post you quoted, not that Stewart actively dislikes Trek or anything. It was just that he hadn't seen Discovery yet according to an interview, but suggested he might have a reason to watch it in the near future, presumably because he was in talks for his new show at the time.

You don't like these videos being posted, but you posted one yourself? Even if you posted it as an example of something you oppose, isn't that kind of self-defeating, since you're still giving it attention?

And keep the political invective out of this. There wasn't anything political in the video, and it's just a joke.

SInce the Discovery gets destroyed, that means that the Klingons succeed in attacking and crippling Earth, Starfleet and the Federation.

Oopsie...

No Enterprise-A/B/C/D/E in the future.
Picard ends up only being the owner of a winery and Data is never found.
RIker becomes a jazz musician married to Troi and her Mother.
(then commits harakiri) <snicker>
Geordie most likely becomes a scientist like his father and probably never gets his visor as a child.
Worf ends up dying an orphan on the Khitomer Colony after the Romulan attack that killed his parents.
Dr. Crusher stays on Earth with her husband and raises a super intelligent child (Wesley) who eventually transforms into a metahuman.
(this is fun)

"Q" never gets to meet Picard and goes through his entire existence wondering why he so bored.

Kinda-sorta puts a buzz-kill on all of TNG.
:nyah:

The Enterprise-E destroying Discovery was amusing for all the wrong reasons, mainly because I side with Discovery, but... Pretty soon you'll have TNG/Movie Picard reacting to Picard Series Picard. And posters being like #NotMyPicard. It'll happen. :p

In the meantime, you'll have Sonequa Martin-Green and Patrick Stewart at events cross-promoting Star Trek because they're on the same side.

I think Picard's reaction to DS9 would have been much worse, after all, it started as a dis Picard series! He gets virtually spit on by Sisko is the first episode!
